All I know is that it is a VITALONI mirror. I looked arownd awhile back. The only one I found was this one. A little out of mt $ range. I decided to replace the mirror instead. But since you do not have that option, this might be your only solution.

    30024400 INTERIOR MIRROR, DINO/365GTB4 DAYTONA (OLD # 20040606) $575.00

As to the harshness of my post, I believe the obligatory smiley face is meant to indicate a certain level of joviality.

IT is however, the second time he posted the same request, and each time we responded with possible sources. soo....... I guess I may have been a little harsh, but I learned at the feet of the master. TS himself :D

Sorry about the caps. I didn't mean any disrespect. This computer always has the caps on. I been looking for this mirror for a while now and I have ordered and received two but they were both incorrect. One of them was meant to stick to the windshield and the other one didn't angle correctly. The mirror would hit the mounting arm and when you looked at the mirror you would see the seats. I will keep looking for it though maybe I'll get lucky and find the right one. This car was a full restoration and it just need the mirror and the campagnolo wheels to be finished. We in the process of another Dino restoration. This one isn't a "flare and chairs" though , but i'm sure that I will be looking for more of these rare parts.

Possible the mirror is mounted upside down. I had the same problem initially with mine, until I flipped it over.

However, now I can see a little bit out the back window, and a lot of the firewall. I suspect the guy who designed the mirror was about 5'2" tall.

I ended up shimming the back of the mirror where it mounts to the base.

Actually, the car he's working on was the one used in the original "Gumball Rally" movie. Remember the scene? The Italian driver is blasting along in his Ferrari (Daytona Spyder?) and doesn't want to be distracted by what's going on behind him, so he reaches up, tears the rearview mirror from it's mount, throws it above him into the slipstream and says something like (add Italian accent), "Ferraris do not need rearview mirrors. I just go faster!"

(Sorry, guys, I couldn't resist making this up!)

I think the quote was closer to: "The first lesson in Italian Driving; what's behind you is not important!".

I also believe they were still in the garage when it happened, will have to watch the movie tonight.

It was Raul Julia who said it, as "Franco Bertollini" of the Ferrari team.

They were driving a daytona spyder (spider) at a high rate of knots whwn he did what he did and said what he said. Very funny I thought.
