They sorta confuse me...is it stopping? Is it turning left? Who knows?

    Acceleration must be insane.

The taillights do not look like that in real life. It's just because they're being filmed by a camera.

They're actually not constantly lit up - rather, the computer that controls them is turning them on and off very fast. Human eyes can't tell the difference because of persistence of vision, but the camera can.

After seeing these in person, all I can say the Veyron is incredible. One journalist described the shift from second to third as "Armageddon".

I just can not imagine the force of this acceleration in a street vehicle.

I know the cars fast but compared to many other 1000hp cars out there not really. Its a pig compared to most of these monsters.

Not all types of racing has corners. Theres many cars that are much faster and have they ability to be driven on the street. I want a 1000hp car to take my breath away when it launches I wouldnt mind it lifting the front wheels either.

OK, so name a production car that can do what you describe, that is not the Veyron. The Veyron will certaily take your breathe away, but thankfully it does not lift its front wheels.

Or are you describing a car prepared for drag racing?

I’m describing cars that are drag race prepped or circuit cars that can do both. the cars are modded. The Katech C6 Z06 will more then just have some fun with the veyron it will kill it. Katech builds all the engines for the last couple of vette teams that won at Le mans. 100 lbs is equal to 10 horsepower so even a 850hp vette set up properly will run from a veyron. Also who knows how much horse is robbed from heatsoak on a veyron.

Say what? You are comparing a modded "drag" car to a Veyron? Have you seen the interior in this car? The creature comforts? Not to mention AWD?

I'm sorry, I am a big fan of modded cars...my buddy has a mustang making nearly 1,100 NA hp & 1,500 hp on juice...that thing will carry the wheels for the first 60' & can still be used to get groceries...but I don't know many women who would want to ride in it on a date or better yet, take a road trip in it...

Face it, as far as a complete package goes, the Veyron is it.

My point is the Veyron right out of the box will do circles around any other production car. If you want to compare apples to apples, then compare a "modded" Veyron to a "modded" whatever. The Veyron GT in 2007 will be developing 1275 HP. And it goes around corners really really well. And it is docile enough to drive to the 7/11 for a slurpee. I just do not think you comprehend what a Veyron is all about.

The 1000 hp S7 TT is the competition version. I saw this car when it was in Vancouver, this car really has a presence. It had Colorado plates BTW
