My father had the good sense to buy me a 61 chevy wagon with a 6 cyl & 3 speed on the column (1969). When I think of how I drove that car, it was a good thing I didn't have more performance or I might not be typing this now. At the time, Ferraris sold for more than their house was worth.

Hello, I have a 360 and my father just bought new 430 from Cauley in MI. I am in my 40;s and he is mid 60's , but that likley commom. MAy I ask your overall experience with sales at Cauley or your dealer. The 430 purchase had some room for improvment dispite the great car

Sure, my experience with them (it was indeed Cauley) was great, as always. It's the 3rd car I've bought from them and all were great experiences. What exactly was lacking in your sales experience?

The sentence doesn't make sense to me, but the son of a dog is arabic, I hope its not an insult.

In my post above I was saying that "Ibn kalb" means son of a dog in arabic, I'm not calling arabics that or anything, I was stating that I knew what 4u2envy was saying in arabic on his post above. Theres people confused by this already and I wanted to clear this up.

Parents who think they're "giving their child the best of everything" should read your post.

    Very well said.

38 here, just picked my F430 up last week.

My other friends in Reno that have F430's are ages 30, 43 and 44.

You've gotta enjoy these cars while your young!!!! When your to old, you won't be get in and out of them. I'll drive the Ferrari's and Lamborghini's while I'm young. When I'm old who cares what I'll be driving.

One (unsolicited) piece of advice from a 60 year old who has driven (virtually) any car you can name. Hapiness comes from relationships and pleasure things. The "richer" you get, two things happen regarding things- A. You buy fewer of them (because their intrinsic value decreases and B. Anticipating something is often more fun than possessing it.

The good news is you have sometime to figure this stuff out.

Good luck in all your persuits.

purchased my first ferrari at the age of 33 (a 355). Just bought my 360 at the age of 40.

I'm hoping to pickup an F40 or F430 by the age of 43 or so, although the 360 is really a keeper, so I may just wait for a bit :)

You have no idea. Out here in Los Angeles, it is pretty bad. I know a guy whose lease payment on his car is three times more than the rent on his apartment. LOL!
