Haha, he must have gotten a good deal from you but you've passed him a bigger headache especially when he opens the top.

I think a track day is the best place to sample sounds & sight especially when they redline them along G'stand but a pity I was too pre-occupied to compare notes between Enzo, F50, tubis, challenge & capristos. I'm sure there were other exhausts there but The Maserati Trofeo was the loudest for sure.

Oh & since when did you have a restaurant? We need some free meals :)

    Oh my.....all the bling.

    Two seats here.

I think the Evergreen Oldfolks home is @ Jln Kayu? There was an animal farm behind there (make a left turn right before the building & follow the old road) with ponds, where ducks & chickens roam freely which is good for kids. You can even smell nature in the air, something missing in our city.

    correct me if i m wrong 348 is a v8 while a testa is a flat 12 engine?

Saw a 348 for sale asking 170k in autoincsports website..

Yes, my TR has a Tubi as well. I don't know which level it is as they have level 2 & 3 with 3 being loudest & not street legal in US trackdays (they have very strict rules there & cars must not exceed certain Db). As the old saying, a Ferrari must have a V12 & this was the last of the mid-engine V12 other than Enzo.

The TR was the top-of-the-line succeeding the 512BB Boxer & supercedded by F550/575 & now 599 all having V12s. While F348 was from 308/328 which was upgraded to F355 then 360 & now 430, all having V8s. In the old days, Ferrari had V12s with only 3litres & high powered. No electronic aids, hardly any electricals, old style suspension, pathetic brakes & antique tyre patterns. The drivers must have been really brave souls to approach hairpins above 100mph then.

Anyway, as the buyer's guide for TR said. No TRs are to be avoided from the early single mirrored '84, single nut wheels which sometimes fly out! to the last limited edition M series. They were handbuilt, reliable and had the best components installed. Then, it's the styling. Which other car has the presence even today? IMHO, only a big Lambo. Actually the TR isn't that big, it's very low, very typical 80's so it creates an illusion of it being wider & longer than usual & they won't make such cars again as buyers will have problems getting in & out.

Anyway, my F348 had problems which I took pain to sort it out & it is still seen as a poor performer~a problem when it was born because the car market collapsed then & makers were struggling to make good cars. That said, I missed the handling of it and the sound was IMO better than a TR (I always drive with my windows down). The V8 has a wonderful high pitch & mine had a factory lightweight sports exhaust (loud even when idling) while I think Absolut's F355 sounds the best so far, better than 360s. My TR with the tubi is actually quiet & only opens above 4K rpms & the sound is very different. Perhaps the flatV12 arrangement, more like having two aircooled 911s behind you. Maybe a Capristo or Kreisegg will change that :)

Nope not anytime soon. That's another S$5-8K just to change to a higher pitch? Think I better save up for road tax.

BTW, Synergyx. You mean IRAS? It's easy for them to check, our IC no has everything they need from our birth to now, what our relatives have & even our offshore accounts. It's easy for them to piece the puzzle together & so long as we don't fool around too much they'll leave us alone.

    Dear SF

Just checking in from airport. IMHO indeed. I am sure there are quite a few other cars that have presence other than a TR and Lambo. Ha Ha - love is blind I guess. Speaking of which, some would differ on the sound of the 360.

Btw, the 360 is not descended from 308. The last of the line there was the 355. The 360 was the first in a new line. The 355 is however recognised as the first of the reliable Luca Ferraris where the performance at last matched the price. I sure you know the views on the mondials and the 348s in terms of Ferrari V8 history. Controversial.

IMHO 360 is the true return to the 246 Dino after the 308 - 355 series. Just look at the 360's curves.

Also hello to my olde friend who is now a mee seller ?

Of course there are, how can I forget Paganis etc but they're quite "immortal" to me at least but if we're talking about other exotics in foreign lands then there are a lot more. How about a Vector?

Hmmm...if we were to look @ Dino & 360, you do have a point there. The 308 starting with GT4 & Bertone were all wedge shapes which did last a long time. Actually, are 360s really that reliable & low maintenance? I did see one with the usual melting plastics cabin & some with expensive electronics issues. Maybe the owners didn't use them often enough!

Some good photos in this site & pretty girls too!
