Nice drawings. Try re-drawing them over the chassis to see how the designs work with more realistic proportions.

I like it, you have a more modern feel to the new Dino design, than I do .

    Should sketch something more futuristic.

I really liked this sketch of Fuoriserie's but I thought the beltline was too high and I also changed around some minnor details by the rear windows. I hope you don't mind. I thought that the plunging beltline makes the car look significantly lighter, adds a nice new curve and also from a driving standpoint aids visibility.
    First is the original
Second is with my minor changes

I was reworking the same sketch but was stuck, but you came up with a nice and effective solution, and I agree with you that it does look better now.
    Very good!

From post #227..i decided to play around with my own drawings and mix it in with the already great design that is made. I personally think the Dino needs to be more aggressive, so tell me what you guys think!

please excuse the absence of the wheels, because I am no good at wheel designs.

Sorry, but I'm not entirely sure I want to risk my legacy by revealing the details of my life's work prematurely. You can see it along with everyone else... when it's done.

I do not agree with you and I'm sorry but I don't like the looks of it.

As said in the beginning, it should be a sexy, slightly feminin car.

Interesting design, but would you/we buy this design in 2010 or 2015?, this is the question we should ask ourselves, when designing the new Dino.

I'm not sure my sketches are modern enough to be a new Dino, so I think we should all focus on things that look futuristic now, but will be common place in 5-10yrs time.

The new Dino should be classical in its shape, but a sportscar of its time, that lives in the future and not the past.

Front end of #1089 is too much like Jaguar.

#1090 is the right direction in my opinion.

Headlights may be a little more like 599/612.

Fabulous - perfectly bridges the gap between old Dino and modern - it shows an appreciation of the old car without being overly retro

    hello everybody here at Fchat.com!

Is it still possible to show a sketch of "my Dino" idea, because everyone has his/her own ideas. and Fuoriserie, your sketches look great!

Okay, another update. i havent done as much as I would like, but it took some time to get the passenger/pedals/footbox relationship as I liked it.

The roof and rollover structure is reference only for now, the roofline will be dictated by design form and windshields radius among other things.

Engine is mounted by seperate steel subframe, as it has been on most modern Ferraris. Soon I will begin on suspension design and geometry work.

I cant start on crash structures and other peripherals until a design is chosen and cooling system equipment and overhangs are more known.

    Cheers
    Eric

Thanks, and please join in, shows your sketches for the new Dino, the more ideas the better for the project.

Remember this is a fun project, so any sketch is fine, rough or finished, doodles or whatever conveys the idea of your car.

    Enjoy yourself...:)

    Ciao
