456 calipers . . . A little help?

Mine were painted gold by Shelton Ferrari when the car was a year or so old. They look just like they came from the factory that way.

I don't remember the price, but I doubt it would be particularly relevant at this point anyway.

 

They must be powdercoated by a pro. Make sure they remove the pistons and all rubber.

 

There are heat resistant paints made for this sold on the web. I did it (in gloss black) on a Jaguar I was restoring. The results were really good with a fine brush (it goes on like a thick enamel, therefore no brushmarks). It could not have looked better by any other means. Using gloss makes it easy to clean.

I always worry that if the dealer does something like this, they end up breaking or scratching something else in the process, most of them often just don't care when it comes to the fine details.

 

powder coating is the best. I had mine removed, stripped and painted for half the price of powder coating and they turned out fine IMO

Nice done, how have you remade the Ferrari script on the caliper ?

I would do mine in red.

did the yellow first, then masked off and did the black. here is the rear caliper.
