Does anyone know of any good hotels that are down town that are reasonably priced. The Hyatt at $300 a night isn't too bad. Any other suggestions?

Sutton Place on Rush. You'll be walking distance from almost everything.

    hello,

we always stay at the palmer house hilton on monroe street. rooms are tiny but the hotel's breathtaking and right between n michigan and lasalle. never a bad experience and parking isn't bad. i.e; good for the location. $200-$250 per night plus extras.

    regards,

    joseph

Actually between Wabash and State. However it depends on what you like. By day it's OK but noisy down there, at night you have to go somewhere else for meals and entertainment.

Shopping is far better up North as well.

We stayed at the Omni a few weeks ago. Not bad. A tad over $300, parking is included, nice breakfast, pool on about the 6th floor with a veranda you can walk out onto and gaze down onto Michigan, see the lake, etc.

My mom is partial to the Peninsula. Waaay overpriced IMO.

Not long ago, stayed at 'The Peninsula Bangkok'.

Very nice and rates weren't excessive IMO.

Looks like the rates are much higher in Chicago!
