Does anyone know how to transfer music from LimeWire to your iTunes library? The songs do not appear in 'my shared folder'...

I do have my LimeWire songs on iTunes, but under the LimeWire playlist, I'd like to move certain songs to my actual library....

    Your screwed.

iTunes SUCKS. Songs you have downloaded it will somehow determine that you dont have the right too and thus it wont let you play them. I have even had iTunes refuse to let me play songs from older CD's I have ripped to disc. Not to mention that iTunes wont let you plug your iPod into multiple computers and have full functionality.....

    I HATE iTunes!!!!

But the solution is pretty simple:

    http://www.redchairsoftware.com/anapod/

Go there. Buy it. Load it. All your iTunes problems will vanish the instant you delete that POS off your PC.

I don't understand what the problem is. If they're in an iTunes playlist, they have to be in the iTunes library. Do you mean moving the actual mp3 files into your "My Music" folder? If that is the case then Edit your preferences, go to Advanced, and check "Keep the Music folder organized" and "copy music to iTunes Folder when adding to library". You may have to remove the Limewire songs from your playlist (do not Move to Recycle bin though), and then add them again.

I love iTunes, except the new version is really buggy, I can't wait till they fix it.

An Apple Mac developed piece of software thats been bastardized to work on a PC and you wonder why its so buggy?

Seriously.... get Anapod. Its a PC resident program, its got tons more functionality, its bone simple Windows explorer like interface is TONS easier to use, it has a much smaller footprint on the iPod.... you drop $$$$ on an iPod whats $30 for a tons better operating system?

Its worth it to me just to be able to connect my iPod to whatever computer I want without dealing with the iTunes protection crap.

I'll try out anapod but iTunes 6 didn't have any bugs for me, it's only the new version 7.

When you open iTunes and open LimeWire at the same time, all of your LimeWire music appears under a playlist on iTunes, but as soon as you shut off LimeWire the playlist dissapears, I want to get the songs on the playlist into my actual library so I don't have to open LimeWire to listen to them.

    2 things...

    First check this...
In iTunes, go to: Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Check "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" and "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library.

    Then try either of these...
    1. Find the original LimeWire files on your hard drive. Then reduce the size of the iTunes window so you can see both the files on your hard drive and the iTunes window so that you can drag the LimeWire files into the iTunes Library. This will take the LimeWire files and copy them into your iTunes Library and iTunes Music Folder.
    2. Or, Open iTunes and go to: File > Add File to Libary (Or, Add Folder to Library if they are all in one folder).
