Did you see that when Alonso dropped the champagne bottle from the podium to his team? The mechanic missed and the bottle got smashed. I hope he is not suspicious.
I think Alonso is terrified of beeing a one-year-champion like Damon Hill and Villeneuve. A real champion defends his title. And winning the title the "testing year" when they were not allowed to change tires (A desperate move from FIA to give Ferrari/Bridgestone problem and bring back the spectators)
that is quite a comment by alonso, though I can see his frustration.....anyone notice how he walked off after he came 2nd place on Sunday? both Fisi and Alonso had PO'ed faces on the podium...
The best part about that was that it was all MS's skill that won him that race no rulings by the stewards or anything controvercial like that. I also liked the hissy fit ("warming the tires") he was doing near the end of the race.
I love to see Alonso crack like this! I just hope that in the next grand prix he just gets out of the car and completely quits.
A worthy Champion would pull the team's efforts together. His comments are nonsense. First of all, Renault wouldn't sport the #1 next year no matter what. And second, regardless of what the team bosses pretend to believe, fan nation places a lot more emphasis on the Driver's Championship than they do the Team Championship. Years from now, people will be much more likely to remember Renault because of Fernando's DC. If he was the real deal, regardless of his coming departure, they would do everything under the sun to win for him. Seems as if he's more of a sniveler, and they're probably sick of him.
YES and YES ! It's a classic example of Separation Anxiety Disorder. . "When the subject of separating is brought up, the child begins to present with somatic symptoms ranging from headaches to nausea and vomiting, with anxiety, the possible repetitious utterance of foul language, baseless accusation coupled with other paranoid/delusional displays." . He is being separated from the #1 plate.
Very well put....He should keep his mouth shut, mistakes are made. If anybody remembers besides Andreas, had it not been for the Pit Stop at Monza, Eddie Irvine would have been Champion in 99. He should have everyone motivated behind him for the next two races, instead of speak crap. I think he is an excellent driver that is getting to feel the pressure. The fact is, MS skill and experience one him the race in China fair and square. The genius of his driving was in Qualifying with those Bridgestones, when nobody on the same tire came close.
MS driving skills did get him into third place...but, it was Alonso's tire problems that got him the win...
tru dat, omg guys this non ferrari driver bashing is f***ing ridiculous, he beat your boy once so you hate him? its crazy
Wrong, Alonso created his tire problems trying to stay ahead of Fisi and MS. MS/Ferrari beat Alonso/Fisi/Renault on the track. Alonso is a good driver, but he is an ill mannered child in the media, he is holding himself up to public ridicule. We don't need to do anything, he is doing it himself!!
OK sorry! Maybe you are from a country that does not understand the reference. Here is something that will help you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_journalism
No, even the Renault team admits that it made a mistake changing his front Michelins at the 2nd pit stop before the problems arose. Alonso was fastest in the wet and dry before the tire problem showed up...but, I agree that a win is a win just like when Alonso was beating MS earlier in the season when Bridgestone was having tire problems...its all racing!
I'm not bashing Asslonzo because he beat MS last year; alot of people beat MS last year. I'm bashing him 'cause he's acting like a spoiled brat;at best he's the third fastest driver on the grid-behind Kimi and MS. If he would show sportsmanship and took the beatdowns MS has been giving him lately like a man he'd have my respect. I thought he was going to cry on the podium on Sunday. Be humble and thankful when you win, congratulatory when you lose and always have class. NEVER criticize your team in public or in the media;air your differences in private. Did MS go crazy (in public) after the pitstop stacking debacle in Turkey? Contrast that with FA's latest behavior.... Lauda always gave props to his competitors when they beat him and was humble in victory-that is why he will always be one of my favorites. Ron Dennis must be saying to himself WTF did I get myself into?
This thread makes me think that Alonzo is going to be the new "whipping boy" now that Montoya is gone and MS is retiring. Alonzo should have said "we" made a mistake with the tires and it cost me a chance at winning the race. I heard Barrichello scream into the radio at the last second leave the tires as he was pulling into the pits. AF could have done the same...
Couldn't have said it better myself. He isn't getting bashed because he is a "non Ferrari driver" his is bashing for his childlike poor sportmanship. That my friend is as you put it "F***ing Ridiculous"
You crack me up We often get chevrolet, ford, honda, etc... owners coming to a Ferrari site and bash our cars for being, slow, expensive, unreliable, etc.... and now you think it is crazy that a Ferrari site is going to make fun childish comments by a non Ferrari driver? I would still be making fun of Massa if he said the only reason he does not come in first is because Ferrari messes up his pit stops.
This makes no sense to me at all... if you are the World Champion .... guess what your the World Champion period! nobody can take that away, and just cause he ( potentially only) wins one does not mean he's not a great driver! You are either good to win the WC or your are not! Alonso is a VERY GOOD driver, better than any one on this chat site... Is he frustrated... most likely yes, will he do much at Mclaren... depends, for better or worse he will be the only World champion in F-1 next year.... so that aint bad!!!
Im glad more people are starting to see why I never liked him. He was way too cocky when he won the championship last year and he constantly puts his opponents down. I rarely hear him make positive comments towards drivers rookie or veteran. He needs a good wake up call and I feel McLaren is it. He will soon realize how much more he has to learn and that respect is key in this sport if he wants to be remembered.
