If I had known that, I would have distracted the Skip Barber rep and hit that button!!

I have driven the Magnum too. Fast car. It had the SRT8. I think the thing was putting out around 430 HP if I remember right.

In the May edition of Car and Driver they have the Henesssey (think 1000hp Viper) Version of the Magnum. 500hp or something like that I think.

Got a lot of seat time in the Crossfire over the weekend. I can say that the more I drive it, the more I like it. It hauls ass, no doubt about it. You nail the gas and you are gone. It almost feels as fast as a Maserati Coupe.

The interior is quite confining, but I am getting used to that too. When I hopped into my Tahoe for the morning commute to work today, the thing felt like I was sitting in a football stadium!

I have not gotten on the brakes too hard yet, nor have I explored the handling envelope either. All in good time.

Although I'm not a big fan of the rear wing I dig the unique styling of the crossfire.

I enjoyed driving the crossfire especially for its very cool side glass...

I don't know why but I really enjoyed driving the crossfire and laughed as I peered out the side windows during my drive..

Car just felt cool as hell...

Very unique..very inexpensive at this point since so many didn't sell....

Not sure about if I'd want to own this bizarro styling....but I do admire it.

    Enjoy

Well, my time in the Crossfire is coming to an end..............or is it?

We ordered a new Jeep Commander for my wife to replace the Crossfire. We should get it sometime this month, or next.

Here's my quandry...........all of these short-term leased Crossfires will be coming back to Chrysler, where they will then offer them for sale to employees. So this '05 we are driving has just over 11,000 miles on it (yes, my wife pours on the miles commuting to work - this was all put on in the 6 months we have had it). She was told we can buy this car for $20k. $20k, you say? Very interesting. This car has a window sticker north of $45k, I believe. There's no way in hell I'd pay even close to that (would buy a Vette for about the same money), but $20k certainly got my attention.

The car is a blast to drive. It is so fast. What would you guys do...............would you buy it for $20k?

Are you required to keep the vehicle a certain amount of time before selling it again? At the very least, you could buy the car and enjoy it for another year or so and then sell it and recover all of your $20k. Not a bad way to enjoy the SRT a little longer, IMHO. You could also buy the car and immediately flip it, if there are no such restrictions in place (I assume there are, but just for the sake of mentioning it)

That's a lot of car for $20K. I'd say go for it.

Congrats! I like Crossfires a lot, I think they are cute. I've only seen 1 SRT/6 (it was a roadster too), I love the wings.

20 grand is a huge deal on that car. HUGE Thats a little north of Sebring money.

I'd say buy it. If you need help with the purchase let me know by PM as I still know a lot of guys at a large CJD dealer in Bloomfield Hills that would be happy to process the paperwork for you.

Just checked the current Manheim dealer wholesale on an SRT Crossfire, '05 with 11k miles. Around 21k.

Wow, I knew SRT's depreciated but I didn't realize their values fell off a cliff! For whatever reason, the Crossfire has never really been a popular car so I guess the current market values reflect this. Looks like a used SRT Crossfire would be an excellent buy for anyone currently in the market.

Yeah...they take a mega hit. Still...20k for the car is a below wholesale buy....with retail in the 24-25k area.

I definitely agree, $20k for an '05 SRT Crossfire is still a great deal!

There was one on a lake drive we did a few months ago, and it was really fast. Surprising to me really. We did not exceed 120 mph, but that car did not lose a step to the 348.

The Crossfire does have 330bhp, and hits 60mph in 4.9 seconds, so it should easily take a 348.

Yes, center of gravity. Is it high on the crossfire?
