    Just came across this 'topside creeper'. I can't think how many times I've had a step stool kick out from under my feet when reaching for something in the middle of the front bank or the back of the plenum:

    Also would avoid putting your weight on that fragile luggage compartment gasket!

    At $260 it isn't cheap, but I may spring for one. Or may build one onto my infrquently used engine hoist's base.

    6.5" clearance is not going to clear on many newer Ferraris, but you could remove the casters. Fortunately you can reach most of the stuff on a 355 from the sides.

    I didn't pick up on the 6.5", but would be easy to relocate the casters.

    Just hadn't seen something like this before.

    Google for "Topside Creeper". I found a place with them for $200 (plus shipping of course).

    i just sit in the trunk and work on the engine. there is more room in a 308 than there is in the nooks and crannies of a Gulfstream jet :cool : .
