    doesn't look like a 100k car ... but I'm sure it performs like a 400k one easily.

Either way, how can you possibly drive this at legal speeds?

no offense to corvette owners...but they can put the veyron engine in this car, and i still will not want one.

i must say the c6 vette's performance is impressive, but for upwards 100k i would like an all around car, not just an engine that gets me to the next red light really really fast.

lol, thats the answer to my Question that I never posted, Not you guys, but will the exotic world ever accept the Corvette as the real deal? And why Vipers are more "acceptable" than the Vettes? or this is according to the Viper guys? haha

I personally can't justify the $$$ for the ZO6 reaching $80k, but then again, whats out there? I have 05 C6, I beat the living crap out of it (as some know how I drive) 19K miles and not ONCE did is go for any work to the dealership.

i hear where you're coming from, but it has been my personal experience in enjoying cars with "the whole package" not just a fast car.

everyone has their own taste(s) so <shrug> sorry if i offended anyone.

Obviously the new vettes can handle so its not just about straight line with them. But for the supposed price tag of this car, Ya lets change up the body work a little more and lets line that interior with real nice leather, stitching and alcantara all over it, especially the dash.

Love the idea of that performance but still looks like a normal Corvette. If the body work was totally different maybe, but not for something that looks like the other 20,000 they produce a year.

I think the new vettes look great. Cant argue with the zo6 stats, but stats are only on e part of the driving enjoyment equation.

A question to vette owners, Is there steering feel, along with the power is there any finesse, these two add to car enjoyment immesurably. Lastly is the trim holding up, and how about rattles and squeeks? Does it feel all carved out of one piece.

Try 5000 in two month!!!!!! If I keep my car in the garage, then I will never go to mechanics. The problem is different and well recognised in Detroit: Vett has a reputation as a redneck's car. They tryed with the series of ads to shake it, but it did not work. No offence, but the reputation is close to reality, at least that is what I see in CT.
Too bad, because it is a wonderful musle car. Great engine and it is reliable.
They are becoming popular in Europe, I've seen some. It is exotic for Europian drivers. I will never shell 100k for Vett, because it is not worth it. Germans can offer me more refined product for the same money and as reliable and Japanese can beet even that, as you all know.

Just to set things straight, (2) Geo's blown to 215HP do not add up to a 430. Not even with a body kit, not even with an EC sticker & it's 25HP. 'K? ;)

This is the age-old argument all over again. "My Bingbang is better than your Mishmash any day." Cars are different; people's interests are different; what people want from a car varies widely. You can compare cars on all different levels, and in the end, what one person values in a car can be radically different than what someone else values in a car. I won't say that one is superior to another, just different. In my case, I bought an '03 Corvette Z06 this past winter. Why? Performance value for the buck. I wanted a car that I could take out to the track, keep up with almost everything out there, with superior performance and handling, that I could work on myself, and wouldn't cost a fortune to fix if something happened to it. The 'Vette fit the bill perfectly. Is it an F-car? No. Can it run with the F-Cars on the track? No problem. I was walking over 355 Challenge cars this past Tuesday at Pocono, and for the 360 Challenge cars to get by me I had to let up. It's a hell of a ride.

So the 'Vette is in my garage along with the 308 GTS I bought this summer, my old '70 Jaguar XKE, and my daily driver Lexus. And with all of them (and my daughter's Jetta thrown in) I still haven't spent the cost of a 360 or 430. And I have the option of varying my driving experience whenever I want from American muscle to F-car to old British sportscar to dependable SUV. Does this make me better than anyone else? Heck no. Does it make me happy? Absolutely. Do I care what anyone else thinks? Not for a second.

That's not fair. I owned the car since February and put 8k on it while driving my other car. However, I do know the history of the car.

    A rarity. :)
