Agree. This is a fine example of how a car should be listed. Beautiful. Granted, it's a Euro, price is reasonable.

What do you think the value would be if it was a US car?

    Hi Ghost,
I hope I'm not hijacking your thread by pursuing the Euro car issue. I'm a newbie and would like to know the pros and cons of buying a Euro-spec car. I'm trying to educate myself before putting the money down. Also, is a DOT-EPA approved Euro car any more difficult to register, say, for instance, in California?

ABSOLUTELY! Much tighter guidelines and about $2,500 extra, IIRC. That is why most Eurocars cars are listed as "49 state" certified. That black car is probably right at 100-105K (for Cali).

I think if Amerispec did the conversion they tend to be the best. The CA is a good question.

Anyone had any experience with this?

Not having an OB2 I do think would be an issue in CA. Aside of that, how was the car from your perspective? Did you sell it to BMW of Austin?
