I woke up my whole house with a big scream when that engine blew. I think Michael knows that he won that race and had that engine not blown he would have won the title. It was not his fault and he knows it. I think by the look on his face that though it isn't a easy thing to deal with he knows he is the true champion.

The constructors champion ship can still be had. The drivers one may be tough :)

MS blows an engine in Japan ..... FA blows an engine in Italy

Seems to be a balanced season between the two top teams in the second half of the season?

You're right. KR gave FA many more wins due to mechanical failure last year.

I agree both have had there ups and downs. Mechanical failure happens to everybody but Michael had that race pretty much in the bag. Michael is going to sleep tonight knowing that today was simply not his fault and there was simply nothing he could have done to stop the outcome.

Massa said he had a puncture, that is why he pitted so early and stuck behind NH!

What a sad way to wake up this morning :(

I also woke up my parents when MS's engine blew up.
Maybe Ferrari already knew that the engine was on its limits, but didn't want to replace it.
Cos they were whiling to take the risk?

Congrats Massa, and CONGRATS MICHAEL!!!!!!!! You are the one true champ of today's race.

Just went to turn off tv and podium ceremony in full song - Alonso with his posturing and Fisi DID NOT even acknowledge Massa when he received his trophy - poor sportsmanship in my book. Guess again I am spoiled by the podium ceremonies from sportscar racing.

I like Massa and I hope he does very well next year. Will definitely miss seeing MS up there - will never be the same.

I don't think he will look something to blame for tonight, but just that the championship is really hard to get after this race....

    life is cruel...

i just lost a lot of interest in F1 now

the moment i saw smoke coming out of his engine, i was cursing and sad already
now that MS's career is coming to a not so good of an ending, i hope his fame stays in the sports for a long long time to come

too bad for fisi too, im glad he was strong enough to still concentrate on the race
losing a best friend is just terrible

Whatever happens in Brazil we have had a great season and we have had the pleasure and privilege to see Michael Schumacher at his best and worst. Although I am sad for the outcome of this race, I am proud of Michael and Ferrari!

    Ferrari 1-2 in Brazil!

such a horrible ending for Schumacher's career. such a class act...did you see, even in defeat he was shaking hands with all the mechanics?! if the situation were reversed, Alonso would have blasted everyone from the pitwall to Renault management. truly a class act and i'm sorry he couldn't have ended his career on a high note. a horrible, horrible day.
