    Hi,

Can anyone tell me please which 348's have single plate and which have twin plate clutches ? Mine is an April 1992 UK tb model. Can you convert a twin to a single ?

    Thanks,
    Michael.

The early 348's had the twin plate clutch. My car is a 12/91 and it has the twin plate in it. They changed sometime in 1992. I think it was late 92, but not 100% sure sorry. I have the info somewhere here. You can change...........but will need to source flywheel ect...... Why would you want to change to single plate? Stick with the twin plate. Its good enough. :)

I think it was the '93 year cars that went to the single plate. I'm not sure on the build number though.

Hi Michael. My 92' Euro (#92156) has the single plate clutch (it's a 'battery in the front' car).

Hey Chris, would you happen to know if your single plate clutch had (Borg & Beck) part # OCL3403000 stamped on it?

    Hi,
Ferrari changed at 10/10/91 the 348 to single-plate clutch from chassis-# 84793 on, but with the exception of USA, Canada and RHD cars.

    Regards, Georg

Yeah that fixed the link. Didn't fix the prices though. Could just be my version of Internet Explorer sticking zeroes onto the end of things again.

So maybe it was the U.S. cars that got the single plate clutch in '93?
