They need a faster chase car to compare it to the rest of the exotics, granted the 350z isn't a civic, but it's still not anywhere close to an Enzo.

Check out the thread "Bugatti Veyron Launch" of Sept 25. Many of these questions have been previoulsy answered as this is a repost.

But I never get tired of watching this.

    It still doesn't impress me.

I want to see a Veyron race a Hayabusa GSX-R 1300 from a standstill. Stock to stock, motor to motor and turbo to turbo.

...and I thought that was some trademark flash pattern incorporated in the Veyron tailights when you turn that "second key"

You know as much as I know that any production car on the road will get a great view of the Veyrons rear end if anything challenged it.

It'd be an interesting race. The only stat thats really reliable would be top speed, which the Veyron would win in. 0-60 and quarter mile could be close, but there's no solid performance data on the Veyron (that I have yet). I'd assume the Busa would have it on a track.

Those taillights are crazy. Should come with a warning on the back for photo sensitive epileptics.

In acceleration a GSX-R1000 is a better comparison since the Hayabusa is slower at first and starts to pull away first at speeds around 250km/h.

This was adressed in earlier thread but the tail lights fire at a rate undecernable to the human eye... its less strain on the LED's than to light them up constantly. Only a camera will pick this up... If you saw one in person they would just look normal.

Fast in a straight line isn't very impressive...

Sure, compare enzo to a veyron, on a road course. Man what a slow veyron!

well...it is pretty impressive. second, are you sure a veryron will be toasted on a road course?

as a note there was a saying that races were won and lost on the srtaight. that can be taken literally or figuratively.

that said neither the enzo or the bug are racecars but i think that in a track like lime rock where there are more linear feet of corner than straights you may be right. at road america where the bug would get to stretch its' turbo legs...i think there could be a different outcome!

i'm not trying to joust w/ you as you may be correct but i did want to give you something to ponder.

that straight line power is still pretty impressive...the car just leaves to z car for dead!

That sounds about right with the Busa and its top end. Although, isnt a GSXR600 quicker off the line than the GSXR1000? My friend owns a GSXR600 and he only bought it because it was faster to 100km/h than a GSXR1000? Im not 100% sure on that sorry. Only going from what he told me. :)
