Mine is in Bad Boys 2 when there chasing the truck through town... The 550's V12 singing its beautiful song... Although the Eleanor chase scene, and in The Rock when Nic Cage puts a 355 thorugh its paces through San Francisco, even though it gets smothered...are great scenes too. Anyone have an opinion on there favorite...
Bank robbery scene in the beginning of the movie "The Hidden". Excellent action showing a black 308, except for when the police blasted it with shot-gun shells and blew it up. It's one of the first movies I saw showing a Ferrari that got me hooked.
The one from Bady Boys 2 is awesome but I love the one from the Island with the Cadilac Cien V12 (which i think they used an Enzo sound track) screaming and the Chopper it was awesome! If you are looking for a guns ablazin and not the cars in the chase you cant go wrong with the one from the second matrix.
Guys... what are you thinking.... James Bond Gold Finger... the chase in the woods with the Aston Martin... all time classic.... also the crash scene in Le Mans where he crashes the 917, the body work fall off ,and the wheels are still spinning... great scene... and any scene in Grand Prix ... especially when they are on the banking... how bout the chase scene in against all odds...308 vs 911...
Not a Ferrari but the Shelby chase in " Gone in 60 seconds" was a great scene. The Mach1 chase in the Bond film "Diamonds are Forever" was great too. For non-chase scenes- I liked all the hot cars in "Cannonball Run" - esp Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr in the 308. Also Christy Brinkley in Vegas Vacation- driving the Red 308. What?! No mention of the Italian job?! I'm talking the original with Michael Caine. 3 Mini Coopers driving on rooftops, for starters.
Relax......this is only 11 posts in. Someone was almost certain to mention it. And it was you. Cool movie indeed.
absolutley. i also like the scene in la dolce vita where mastroianni and anouk amiee are tooling around in a TR3.
For sheer turn up the volume, the early morning beginning of the race in the 'Gumball Rally' as the Daytona (especially), Cobra, 300SL, 911, etc. barrell-ass through NYC in the early morning and the sounds reverberate through the skyscrapers. The sheer sound on the Daytona revving up and accelerating away from the garage rips down into your soul...
I thought director Chuck Bail did a great job with "The Gumball Rally" from 1976. Not only did the cars--including a Daytona Spider--look great, Chuck went to the trouble of making sure that when you see a Ferrari, you hear a Ferrari. All of the cars were matched to the correct sound track, a task most directors wouldn't bother with. BTW, Chuck more or less played himself as the stunt coordinator in "The Stuntman" directed by Richard Rush from 1980, which had a pretty interesting car scene of its own.
+1 Now that's music. (And a cute sub-plot with the E-type. ) Also: "Stupid EVO Tricks" in Jackie Chan's "Who Am I?"
What about the scene in Miami Vice (the remake 2006). I love the scene wehere he drives on the freeway at night and fire came out of the exhaust (or is it just glowing????). By the way ... I am new here ... hi @ all .... Nice to be here with you all. Greetings from Germany Enes Canay
The beginning scene with the black Countach in The Cannonball Run, without a doubt. It was the first time I ever heard a V12. When I finally got the movie on VHS, I would rewind it over and over.
It is a bit of a stretch to call it a car, but I like the scene where Peter Sellers takes Claudine Longet home in his Morgan Three-Wheeler the morning after the chaos and destruction at the party in the movie "The Party".
