    Its only about 3 months away and i just wanted to get and idea of how many people on this site go the the show?
    Also how does one gain access to the Ferrari stand?
    I have been the last 4 years and make the 10 hr trip from the twin cities for it and find it well worth the drive.

    I'll be there. I'm traveling in from Chicago. I already booked my room in early September and they were nearly full they said! I'm staying at the Hyatt Windsor. If any FChatters want to get together Friday or Saturday night we should arrange something.

    BTW, Saleen had one of the hottest models there from last year, so for that alone you may be interested :).

    You need to be an owner, know someone that is, or be friends with someone at Ferrari. If you know any Ferrari dealerships near you perhaps they could get you an invitation? Mine came from FNA directly though.

    and yes last year they did indeed have a very very HOT model at the saleen booth and she was really nice too i think her name was Alissa... maybe not I cant remember. O and i assume you are talking about the brunette pictured below

    Yes. The S7 is nice, but the model was nicer. IIRC, MSN had an article about the Ferrari models as well.

    Out of curriousity how did you obtain an invite from FNA townshend if you dont own a ferrari? Or are you just that hooked up? ;)

    A few years ago I received an invite to the Maserati stand at Detroit, I had been into the Ferrari / Maserati show room, I must have fit there demographics.

    I went to the show last year on Industry day, wasn't open to the public yet. I showed the guy at the Ferrari booth my car keys and asked if an owner could come in. He immediately moved the rope and let me in. It was pretty cool being up close to the FXX.

    Anyone think Ferrari will unvail somthing special? Such as the F60 to possibly the new Dino?

    Your lucky when I went it was already gone. No public viewing of the FXX maybe this year.

    No on both counts. They will have the 599, but that would be it. The only thing special MAY be the 430CS, but IIRC they don't tend to make introductions at NAIAS..

    They don't and I highly doubt they will unvail the CS here. They did do the 612 though.
    I'll probbly be down there for press week and industry days.

    I'll be in Detroit 1/17-1/21. Show them your key to get in the Ferrari, Lamborghini or Maserati stands. The other way is to respond to the invite from the Ferrari Owners website. Print out the invitation and take it with you.

    Anyone up for a karting night at kart 2 kart? It is a great track with fast karts. How about 1/20 @ 9 PM. If there are eough people there they will usually stay late.

    I don't think they do either...usually. The last Ferrari - NAIAS world debut was in 04 with the 612. I remember vividly because I was in shock with the amount and severity of the orange peel on the finish. I'm sure those that were there for the debut remember it also.
