This is a 348 at Steve Harris Imports. What is this spoiler? There are two intakes, plus the trim piece along the bottom. Any input? Thanks Spence http://www.ferrarisales.com/more.phtml?method=lkup&firsthid=876&offset=0&qty=6&id= Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've never seen one like this. I would guess that someone smashed their spoiler and had this one built, probably for far less money than a new one from Ferrari would cost.
Those rear tail light grills suk. As for the front, I like the dual openings, esp if they both cool the brakes. Don't like the soft lip attached by rivets - looks cheap, like a squeegee.
Well, the 'normal' opening in the 348 spoiler is for the A/C condensor. So I cant imagine the other opening being no more than to have the spoiler symetrical. Maybe even for poser status! Then again, he could have twin A/C condensors, hence it being there. Maybe it is ducted to the front brakes.
When i was searching for a 348, i came across one with a spoiler like that. Its obviously not a stock, factory one. I moved along when i saw it. Figured the car was in a front end collision or an aftermarket one was purchased and modified to fit. I never spoke to the owner. I didnt want a car like that.
I spoke with the dealer. He said that this was a "custom" front spoiler. There is also a lexan cover over the engine. A few too many mods for my taste... Spence
Note the gap on the left side of the bumper vs the right? I'll bet that car has been bent. Probably bad enough to where the rear deck metal cover tweaked and they replaced it with Lexan.
I just glanced at the first picture - the hovercraft effect is enough of a turn-off. But the caserole-dish engine cover is too much! Side view includes curb feelers and neon, perhaps?
