Hopefully not a repost, but I came across these in a booklet. The last road car that Enzo Ferarri was involved in? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice, thanks for the pics. I havent seen them. Im sure the F40 was the last car Enzo 'signed off' on.
I have this prototype pic also. I got it here, so its been posted before. I think this was the original prototype pic? I think? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey, it's a 348 GTO! I met a guy with a turboed 348 on the way to Monterey (Steve of San Diego?). What a car! 700 Hp (allegedly) on pump gas; 1000 on racing fuel. U should have seen the flames out the tail pipes. Ran really rich and coated the rear end with black specks. Way too fast. Roll cage, fuel cell, harness etc. This car would blow away any modern Ferrari or Lambo, and mostly anything else. Scary fast tho.
Scary!!! There is a twin turbo 355 Spider here in Melbourne, Australia with 550KW or 737HP. Street driven, no roll cage, fuel cell, harness ect...... Runs a 10.9 1/4mile with slicks.
That's it from that booklet. I'll scan some articles later this week and stick them up on the 348 website. Got a review of a konig 410bhp turbo conversion in one of them.
I'll post this picture again, since we're on the subject of 348 prototypes. Note that it has twin openings in the front air dam, so Pininfarina showed that feature early in the development, then dropped it for the production cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I posted all these pics last january here already, but hey, you can't see it all huh http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=89879&highlight=henkie
That was only on the prototype. Series models got an orifice on the left hand rear fender to insert them into.
