Have I read somewhere that the 360/430 were originally designed as blowdry cars and they just added the roof for the berlinettas ?

I think they float that idea for marketing from time to time. Read a test on the Gaylambo spider vs the 430 spider today. They reckoned the 430 had a lot of flex relative to the coupe version. Must say the Gaylambo looks beautiful as a spider. Much nicer than the 430 which just looks..........odd

i'm not a huge fan of either, æsthetically speaking, i mean they look too good and menacing with their tops on, taking it off makes them look soft and cuddly... it removes their teeth. haven't seen the G in the flesh yet so final judgement is reserved, but that to me loses *a lot* more in the conversion than the F430 does. the murci is still king of the modern roadsters, they got that one right... well, maybe not functionally but hey

I like the Gallardo more than the 430 as a coupe too. It was the Evo article from a few months back as well. Personal taste I guess.

hmm....id always buy a Ferrari but styling wise, F355 was the peak in my opinion...and 360/430 havent been able to capture me in the same way...

a V8 supercar has 200BHP more than a 360 GT... yet lap times at Simmons are virtually identical because the Ferrari can stop and turn and put its power down.
