Can you lovely people out there post a couple of good shots of the 246 bonnet/trunk rubber? I matched the existing one that came on my car but now suspect it may be of the wrong profile in as much as it seems to big and pushes the bonnet up.
    Thankyou, G.P.

Dave, Excellent! that helps a lot. As i suspected my car originally had the wrong rubber, in fact it was more like the door seal! I think that rubber on yours is the same profile that's used on the two rear lids? correct me if i'm wrong.

Ah. confirmed i've just seen your post on Omgjons thread!
Dave you should post more of your car on here to show what can be achieved. I note that according to the photos that they are approximately 7 years old, but i've seen your car in the flesh last year and it still looks the same!

It's probably a bit better now because I've tried to get more original items onto it ,stupid things like green cavis benz fuel pipes which when fitted coiled so that the cavis benz was no longer visible but I know it is there!!!
I was getting a bit sad taking pictures and how many pictures can you take???

    Graham,

first of all I aplogize for the quality of the photos...

The front bonnet seals are a little tricky. I tried to take a picture of the crossection of the seal that runs along the perimeter of the spare tire and along the base of the servo cover (from one end to the other). The picture of the front bonnet shows the intersection of these seals.

There is a smaller c-channel seal that is used around the ousite perimeter of the entire bonnet area.

There is a seal(s) between the engine compartment and rear trunk as shown in the third picture. These seals are also the same crossection as the one shown first photo. The engine bay also shares tha same c-channel seal that goes around the front bonnet.

BTW. Look closely to your owner's manual. It has closeups of some of these seals in some of the photos.

    Hope this helps.

    Pietro
