OK guys---I took the car for a 15 minute run today and parked it in the garage. About an hour later I pulled it out to wash it and noticed antifreeze on the ground. It seems to be leaking from the front of the car between the front wheels. Dripping from between the belly pans underneath. The size of the puddle was about 4" x 6"..... Any suggestions??

    A/C condensation.

Is it slick & blue like antifreeze, or wet like water?

Ya, smell it. If its just water its A/C and happens with any car. My Escalade makes a huge puddle at idle.

It is def. antifreeze---A little slippery and green.
Called Lake Forest where I got the major done, they said possible the heater core.
Called FOW and they said possible coolant pipe. But I didnt think any coolant pipes ran up to the front of the car, not sure...As soon as I get a lift available I will take the pans off underneath and try to see where it is coming from. I hope FOW is right and it is just a coolant pipe ... I am sure the heater core is a couple K's

I wouldn't sweat that. Lake Forest seems likely to make it right if you just took delivery, and they can probably do something locally.

I had a window switch die on my 328 the day after I got it. Sport Auto (dealer) said I could get it taken care of locally (Bobileff) and then offered to reimburse me. Very forthright about it, especially since like you I'd had the major done right before the car was loaded up for transport to CA.

Maybe not, but they just sold it to you and also did a major service. To me that implies they've checked it over. Again, doesn't hurt to ask, and might cost a lot NOT to.

Or if something got banged on the truck, the shipper should own up.

How many days/miles on it since you took delivery?

You are oing to have a hard time convincing a dealer to repair a portion of the car that was untouched during the major. The two are likely unrelated, but who knows...

    Good luck

It could be a loose hose clamp on the heater hoses going to the heater core. Or maybe even a split heater hose. ;) You would be unlucky for it to be the heater core. Im sure that will be costly.

Is the trunk floor wet? If you pull the trunk liner there are several hoses and the heater valve there. Lots of possible places to leak.

Thats what Lake Forest told me to look and feel for. I checked and no wetness in front bonnet carpet area.
Does anyone have a digram of where and how many hoses run to the front for the heater core??

Once you remove the bonnet carpet, you will see the heater core/fan motor up the top in the centre of the car. There should be 2 hoses there. Check them out mate. Will take you 2mins to remove carpet and have a look. :)
