IIRC, the technical regs for one of the ferrari classic series specify you can use any ferrari engine, but only turbocharge a car that was originally turboed, so perhaps this leaves open the possibility of a V12 turbo f40...

Maybe 1,000 rwhp V-12 (550 engine) twin turbo, as per the Koenig and/or Norwood Testarossa conversions...

What a loser. I strongly believe in preserving every Stallion like she left the factory. This is sin. At least it was another Ferrari engine. But since it was an F40, its still sin.

A badass car is a badass car, in my book.

My book is also badass, and as such is beyond contestation.

I don't think you'd very much like any of the classic Ferraris if you knew what they'd been through in their racing histories, but I'll let you live on your cloud of denial :).

I think Enzo would approve of anything done to his cars to make them as fast as possible, that was what he wanted. If this makes the F40 a better race car, I'm sure he'd be all for it.

Agree with you. Everyone draws a line somewhere. F40 needs 18" Kinesis and big brakes to just be useable or even safe on the track. Not many people would take issue with this. From these minor updates a 550 engine is a big step but consistent with your point - race cars need to go fast.

That is my experience. I found the stock brakes far below the performance of the rest of the car. If you are on the track with new cars it is no fun braking early to allow margin. Passing under braking is fun and safe. I am used to braking to apex from Formula and that means I like to brake late and hard. Aside from the brakes and tyres the stock F40 offers sublime steering. Also with no ABS braking is really wonderful.

Easy mods to solve the problem. My stock rims and brakes are wrapped in bubble wrap waiting to go back on the car someday. I also found the stock brakes on the early 550 scary. Again simple upgrade to 19" wheels and F50 track day Brembos and all problems solved. We are all lucky now that Ferrari offers big brakes as an option which I am getting on my 599.

I disagree. What is your stance on the P4/5 project?

I rarely if ever bring up age around here, but don't be a silly parrot and just say what you think old Ferrari guys want you to say.

Hearing a 14yr old say this comes off as pretentious and ridiculous!
