I dropped off my car at Tim Stanford's for service and I took the liberty of posting pictures of some of the cars I saw at his shop. I had never been to an independent Ferrari shop and I must say that it was a real treat. I saw the following cars: 2 Daytonas, 550, Dino GTS, 308 GT4, Mondials, several 308s, 328, and a 348. My car is the 308 GTB parked in front of the shop. I also took a picture of a Daytona and Boxer engine. Enjoy.

Tim serviced my car, what a pleasure it is to deal with him and his crew. He finds some deals on stuff too. Car runs like a dream.

What a great asset he is to this area.

Is Tim the "Eugenio" of the East?

I think so....He is probably the most famous Ferrari mechanic in Florida. Also has a sterling reputation. I have never heard anyone say anything negative about him.

Nice pics, thanks for posting. I love walking into Ferrari shops - somehow just looks and smells the way a sports car shop is supposed to.

Plus you're not surrounded by minivans...

Yeap....I would not mind a summer job there. In fact that is what Tom Yang of Tomyang.net fame is doing. I think he took a job with well known Ferrari Mechanic Francois Sicard.

It took me a year to find a good Blue Sera and tan Mondi Cabrio 86-88 1/2 3.2. While I was on Miami on business I happened on an ad very late in the afternoon for my car at showroon in Ft. Lauderdale. After some persuasion with the owner of the showroom to stay open that night, a $150 cab ride and hours later, I had my Mondi, pending a Pre Purchase inspection. There was only one name that came up to do it- Tim Stafford! Lucky for me he was in the same town. They drove it to Tim the next morning and it was on the enclosed transport a week later. Tim was super to work with and gave me a frank analysis of my car. As I trust Ben Salerno in Rocklin, CA with my car, I have the same regard for Tim. Either of them would be the first to admitt that they aren't perfect- no one is. They give you an honest opinion based on years of service, couldn't be nicer to work with and are fair to a fault.

The only downside is that because of their tremendous following, you have to give them the lattitude to do their work at their own pace. I always budget about a week for anything other than an oil service. At this level, it's artisan quality work on our art quality cars- it can't be rushed.

One of my experiences at Tim Stamford, About a month ago I had a rumbling in my 308 could not figure it out i called Tim and he said bring it i am only ten minutes for his shop. I got there late Friday afternoon and put it on the lift
and found i had a Bearing failure on the cam and said I was the luckiest guyaround because I could ruin the engine. You can not drive it leave it I will get to it as soon as I can. I figure one to two weeks because he was busy with other cars. To my surprise Tim called me on monday and said it was ready, he told me that since it was on the lift they just went to work on it. That why I have trust Tim since he started to work on my cars.

He is the only one I will let touch my Ferrari or my fathers. Besides being a great personable guy. He is a TRUE Ferrari enthusiast. His work is perfect and prices are very reasonable. Oh, incase you could not tell I would highly recommend him for any of your Ferrari needs.

    He has a red Dino.

Tim is a great guy!!! When I was checking out a 328GTS a few years ago, I called him to get the history....straight shooter and good all around guy. Unfortunately I could not negotiate a final deal on the car, but Tim was a great help!

I have known Tim Stanford since we attended Junior College (in Davie Florida), together in the early 70's. He has been working on/with Ferrari's since he was in the 10th grade. He is one of the most capable/knowledgeable Ferrari Doctors in the US. I call him a Ferrari Doctor because that is exactly what he does at his shop (cures the ills of his customer's Ferraris).
