    Hello from California!
I am going to be in Munich the weekend of the Brazilian GP. I am wondering if anyone on this board can recommend a good bar/biergarten or other to view the GP. It would be nice to find a place with an enthusiastic pro-Ferrari bunch.
I would love to meet up if any Muencheners are part of the F-chat community.
    I am Dr. Robert Faber and I own 1998 355GTS #110309.

    Hi Robert,

a bar is probably better then a Biergarten because it gets very chilly at nite:

    e.g.:
    Formula 1 Szenario
    Leopoldstr. 7,
    80802 München,
    Tel.: (089) 33 20 00

It's just a Bistro, but you can expect some F1 nuts on racingdays. :D

    enjoy a Weissbier,

    Hello Robert,

I agree with Cinque. It is one of the best locations for watching the F1-Race.
I went there a lot of time and it is always funny when the REDS are on the top.

..and I agree with Cinque, too. ENJOY A WEISSBIER.

    Ciao from Munich

    Thank you gentlemen!
I am familiar with the Formula 1 bistro, quite near the Siegestor I believe. Besides being an F-1 nut and Ferraristo, I am also a weissbiermeister! If either of you would care to meet up, I would welcome the opportunity to buy you a bier.

Hi Simon, in a PM to Andrea I mentioned to drive somewhere between St. Gallen and Munich, so my favorite place is now around Reutte and Imst on empty & twisty roads. Not far for you guys, right? Tell him!

    Ciao Cinque,

I saw your "calling" also a few minutes before at the CP. It is a good idea go out for a last stint before the snow. I must check because we where in Italy the whole last week until Sunday and now this weekend we have a lot to do. Further I catched a cold - it is to frozen in Munich - and I hope I will be fit for the weekend.

I see the possibility rather to meet at the Formula Uno. I'm not sure about our time schedule - I must check with the female part of me. Info asap.

    Have a good day

    bless you!
I'm in contact with Simon and Maranello71 and maybe they like to be my wingmen again this sunday. :)
Anyway, just promise your female part it's the last time you're doin' this.
    At least in 2006. :D
And the meet at the 'Formula Uno' is still possible in addition!

So I picked up Robert for a little tour to Austria and on our way back we took
some pics. A perfekt day died away over some Weissbier in Munich
watching the F1 race. :) Thanks Robert!
Let's support Kimi next season from our TV seats. :D

Hi patrick, I see that you enjoyed yourself! We had rain in Milan most of the weekend, and we couldn't come back before sunday evening anyway :(

Oh well it will be for next time... but guess what: on saturday I tested a Gallardo e-gear. Awesome car. A real weapon. I am looking for an affordable one now (impossible to find one at this moment). Consider yourself warned, it will be war on the mountain passes :D :D :D

    Hi,

as I told you in Italy: Gallardos are rockets. :D
The cheapest acceptable Gallardos here are for 100.000 €.
But when the new 997 turbo is populated next year I expect Gallardo prices under pressure. At least the older 500 hp version.
If they quote 90.000 € it's going to get a interesting item.
BTW: a black 550 like yours is offered these days: first owner was Jean Reno!

    Hi Patrick,

I think the 997TT is overblown. It's heavy, it's ugly, it understeers like a dog. It's a supercar for people who can't drive. A 997GT3 RS, now that's a real driver's car. But 997TT drivers don't worry me at all in the mountains, and I'm sure a Gallardo can keep up in a straight line (by the way, according to the test by Sport Auto the old 500PS Gallardo was actually faster than the 520PS version, because of the shorter gear ratios...)

Hallo again! Many, many thanks to Patrick for being a great Bayern host to me on Sunday!
This guy really knows how to enjoy his GTS and get the most out of the Alpine roads. I have NEVER felt the bolsters work so well in a 355! Wow!!! I will NEVER forget that drive. I only wish we had roads here in California that are so perfect for car and driver and passenger (since I did NOT puke).

The 'nectar of the gods' weissbier was our consolation as we watched Schumi's final hopes go down the drain.
Write me if you come to California and I will attempt to duplicate an enjoyable Ferrari experience in my own.
    servus,
    Rob

    Hi Rob,

lots of fun for both of us in a fresh breeze, here in the alpine parts of europe. ;) Tell your california folks!
Was my last stint in 2006, just did a oil job after - that's it. Good season.
Next time you visit Munich, we will have a even better organization.
(picking up a new M3 V8 would be an excuse, right?)
Let's see some impressions brave Rob could catch with his digicam. :) :
    (brave men don't puke!)

Hi from Rob's dad (another Ferrari owner)
The pictures were great & Rob has told me how much he enjoyed the drive with you.
I have loved my time in the Alps & southern Germany & northern Italy. Next time, I'll have to meet some of you. (it has never rained in Milan when I've been there!) The pictures bring back lots of pleasant memories.
I live in a beautiful place too (the Pacific Northwest right on the edge of the saltwater of Puget Sound), but it is always a pleasure to visit where you are, too. To me, the Alps are some of the most majestic scenery in the world. The combination of those mountains, your wonderful roads & a Ferrari would be a slice of heaven.
Let's hope the rare Ferrari difficulties are now a thing of the past & our guys will rule the F1 tracks next year!!
