Joe nice ride man!!! I have often thought about getting a R129, but the wiring harness failures scare me (about 15k to fix iirc). GOOD LUCK AND I LOVE THE CAR can't go wrong with a V12 either. Back in the day that was one of the 25 fastest cars R & T tested from 0-100-0 I think it was like 17 on the list in the late 90's. Did it replace anything? how many miles? It looks like a 1997?

Thanks Erik, it is a '97, 49k, replaced the '99 Range Rover. Nobody liked to drive the Range, so this is a nice replacement. We still have an '04 Range Rover for snow, and we'll still stick some snows on those wheels and put some AMG Monoblocks on there. I need to check if the wiring harness has been dealt with or not, or if there have been any problems. I haven't been home to see/drive it yet.

My dad also said from about 60, it felt as fast as the turbo... dayum!

 

Not bad guess on the 97 huh ! Good move as they are great highway cruisers a little to heavy to toss around, but in a straight line they are a blast. I would go with a set of Mono's in a heartbeat! as these wheels were my second least favorite mb wheels ever think 98 clk 320 style as my number one ugliest. It appears the wiring problem was fixed around 96 or 97 not sure though. join either mbworld.org or benzworld.org here is the thread on here about the wiring issue i found quick. Erik... just found out, the problem was fixed in '97. It's apparently the best year W129 to own... before they weakened the engine (ours has quad cams), and after they fixed the wiring harness materials.

VW Phaeton and crazy modded Porsche GT2 (or Turbo with GT2 kit) on 78 near Phillipsburg yesterday afternoon

 

saw a miura in an ugly mustard yellow color on river road in potomac on friday afternoon.

 

I saw a phaeton on the dulles toll road on monday.

 

Its wierd. I normally see one when i go back and forth to/from college to home. I saw one a few weeks ago too


The phaeton i saw yesterday was actually nearer to me than phillipsburg, it was near Hellertown
