What is M walk? Where is it? I saw the Pagani before on May 26 2005. EJ88K was loud and thunderous! MLK is a new car. It will compete with the BMW X3.

They even have the Lamborghini Gallardo Concept S, the Ferrari F430 Spider (brownish-greyish colour), Ferrari 612 China Tour car, Maserati MC12, Maserati Quattroporte, Gransport, 3200, Ferrari 575 Maranello, Ferrari F430 coupe, Ferrari F40/F50, Lexus IS250, Lexus GS430, Hondas, Porsches, Volvos, Opels, Fords, Renaults, Peugeots and many others!

    PS: Thanks for the tips!

M walk = Millenia Walk. Shopping centre next to Conrad Hotel, very close to Suntec City. The outdoor parking area is usually a very good place if you want to see nice cars, especially during weekends. Free valet parking for Ferrari's, Lambo's, Maserati's if i'm not wrong?

Thanks, but I don't think the Nikko shop at Suntec carries apparel anymore.

I've been to their other outlets at Harbour Front & Wheelock Place, but selection is limited and sizes are either too big or too small for me.

They do have an impressive range of model cars though.

    Hi Guys,

Been reading this thread for some time but never posted. Thought that I should finally join in. I am based in Jakarta but travel to Singapore about 6 to 10 times a year. Used to live in Singapore from '80 to '89 until Secondary 3. Married with 2 kids now.

I have been a car nut since very young. My 'performance' car ownerships are all in the '90s when I was a student in US. Starting from a Nissan 300ZX, then on to NSX, 911 Turbo 3.6, 993 and finally Diablo in '98. Plus other 'sensible' cars on the side. I did indulge in a CBR 900RR in '94 (sold it in 2 months after accident in mountain). Alas now, I have been in sensible car world due to lifestyle constraints. Now I have MPVs, SUVs, sedan and a '97 Merc SL (bought this for memory sake of student years).

My dream cars are mostly older cars. Ultimate cars would be 1) Countach Anniversary 2) Miura SV / 288GTO 3) 250GT California Spider / 275 GTB 4) Mclaren F1.......the list goes on. To cut it short, most cars are unattainable in Indonesia or Singapore. So, dream is to save up and acquire them much later in life and stash them somewhere.

Contemplating of finally acquiring a Ferrari in the near future. Just not able to decide to buy in Singapore or Jakarta yet. If I do get one, I'd like either a Testarossa/512TR (to fulfill my childhood dreams) or Maranello. Well, enough of me. I will chip in to this thread whenever I can. Hope to see you guys some day. Actually, I am going to Singapore this Friday for Hari Raya holidays. Till then.

Hi Red, if you want an excellent range of Ferrari apparel and car models, you can got to Isetan Scotts and go to the Men's Clothes section. There is a wide range of Ferrari apparel there. They even have Jeep apparel there. But if you go to KL often, you can get an even better range of Ferrari apparel there. In fact, there are not one but 3 shops selling Ferrari apparel in KLCC.
    1. Nikko shop 2. Ferrari F1 Shop (don't know if this shop is still there though) 3. Fila

I am going to KL on Oct 28-Nov1......

Hello Illufa, nice intro there & welcome to finally joining us to chat. A pity Isk has gone missing or he'd be overjoyed to hear a 3.6 Turbo as well.

I remembered there was a barn find on a Dino in Jakarta some years back, wonder if it's been restored by now. Didn't Habibie owns a classic 300SL Gullwing too? Anyway, several of the Fcar owners here are Indo Chinese as well so you'd feel like a family if you get into the club. You can consider getting a Testa first for the collection, still "easy" in the pocket compared to your list.

Hi Derek, I think it's Krishnan? Anyway, I'll PM you my no & perhaps you should meet up with FezzaFella, another big angmo who loves to hit the Malaysian highways for Sunday morning drives. For those who didn't know FF has been racing 40yrs old Minis in Sepang, 10" wheels, 1.5? NA, 600kg? & constant 2.50smin. Incredible.

Oh yes, need to get the glass polisher no from you as well!

Hi Michael, is that you? The yellow one?

On the apparels, Fila stopped the contract & Puma took over few years ago so most Fila stuffs are leftover now. Usually oversized & dull coloured stuffs. I bought quite a few items from a bazaar @ LiangCourt few months ago. Anything from red socks, caps, pants, shirts, jackets to bags & all @ superb discounts for genuine Ferrari badged items. I'm sure they're still moving around to offload them. I was in HongKong recently & surprise! There's a shop there in the shopping Mall on top of the Peak that sells the latest '06/7 Ferrari/Alfa/Renault/Harley etc official apparels. I bought a red T-shirt for my baby girl+some small items & apparently the owner owns the other official Ferrari shop in Shanghai as well.

In case you guys are really nuts over Ferrari, some of you may have seen that the Panerai made Ferrari watches are in town.

OK sounds good. I guess Krishna is different to your Krishnan though, but anyway will give you a bell Wednesday night & catch up.

For those interested, I was in Austria last week & popped into the Czech Republic to watch Singapore compete in the Brno A1GP event over the weekend. Sure it isn't F1 (no Ferrari) but in many ways it is better being far smaller and more personal, and the guys (and gal) from Team Singapore were fantastic hosts. The series is moving to Asia now for the next few months with races in China (Beijing & Shanghai), Sepang, Jakarta, Sydney & NZ so if any of you get the chance to catch one of them I thoroughly recommend it. Maybe FF could get a gig as a test driver with times like that!

A little trivia & hope you guys can correct me if wrong. The apparels for Lamborghini is actually independant from the current Auto Lambo & owned by the son of Ferrucio Lamborghini, founder of the car company. What happened was when Chrysler bought the troubled car company in the late 80s the US buyers were overjoyed but didn't know they didn't get the full rights to the name but was actually owned by the son who decided to wash his hands in the car business then.

And Horacio Pagani of Pagani Automobili was a staff with Lambo & was responsible for the styling of the Countach Anniversary! These people do work their way up!

Not sure about Ferrari T shirts, key chains and other merchandise (which are tacky frankly)- this is the only Ferrari merchandise I would buy - imagine hanging this up in your sitting room

Yup, Jon, it's me - Michael, 'the yellow one'.

I actually went to Liang Court after I read your earlier post but didn't see any bazaar. I might be going to HK come Dec and will definitely check out the apparel shop that you mentioned if I do.

BTW, where in town have you seen the Panerai watches? They look really good.

So, where's the pictures from u? Come'on it's been a while now & sorry couldn't meet up over the weekend as I'm down with flu. I saw the watches @ Sincere in NgeeAnn city but I guess Cortina & HourGlass will have them as well. Prices are about ten thousand, not sure if they give discounts or if I like them now, the rattrapante looks good but costs S$19K! Are you coming for the dinner?

CT, that looks interesting & reminds me of someone who hung a Countach in the ceiling of his house! Now if only those lights work as well :) Actually car parts can be bought off scrapyards but they are still not cheap! Maybe one of these days I'll find a cut-up body to convert into a couch :)

At least better than a fountain pen which costs $25,000! Just add 7k more and you can buy an ugly, small Chery QQ. The QQ is an awful car! And I would never consider that!A Chery QQ is rarer than a Ferrari or even a Lamborghini! Just to tell you, there are 67 Gallardos on the road right now (Coupe, Spyder and SE). Anybody here considering a Chrysler 300C SRT8? It's superb! I love the 20" inch rims! Simply Gorgeous! My friend owns an old Mini Cooper with original front grille and 10" inch rims. I love it!

Sorry for the delay, Jon. Only wanted to make the car look better before posting any pics. In fact, just changed the rims (& tyres) recently and the car handles a lot better now.

Will probably give the dinner a miss this year. Hardly know anyone there and besides, I'm not a tux person! Any planned Sat morn outings?

Phew, those Panerai watches cost an arm and a leg! The Girard Perragaux range is quite nice also - are they available here in Sg?
