Fall's Foliage "Exotics Run" - October 22

i wouldn't worry, the weather reports are usually wrong unless it is a two-three day forecast

 

I like to use accuweather.com rather than weather.com because everytime I have looked a week ahead for weather forecasts, accuweather has been more accurate. So I feel they are more reliable than weather.com. Just speaking from my experience.

Accuweather currently says few showers are possible for Sunday night but no rain for Sunday day. ..says clear skies too.

As the resident Meteorologist I will start to pay attention to the weather for what is shaping up to be a major run and update daily.

The medium range (i.e. 3-7 days) weather forecasts posted on the web at both Weather.com and Accuweather.com are computer generated straight off the US NOAA computer weather model known as the GFS, so there is no human input or assessment. The two forecasts may differ a bit because they use different programs to convert the model output to local weather. At shorter ranges (1-3 days), I believe that Accuweather's local "man-machine" forecasts are more skilful than NOAA forecasts and those of most other private and meda outlet services and may be accessed locally at 1010WINS radio and ABC-TV.

As for the upcoming few weeks, we are entering a fall pattern of a fairly regular succession of alternating high pressure systems and cold fronts at something like 3-day intervals. Right now the timing favors a frontal passage Thursday, then fair and cool Firday into Sunday and another rainy front Sunday night, but it only takes a small timing change at this horizon to change the sensible weather for Sunday AM so stay tuned.

Yes the skyline/ supra /porsche 911 and my buddies s2k are coming along for the ride. Majority of the time we will be filming and such just to enjoy the scenery. I came back from virginia about a week ago after time attacking the r33. Placed 3rd in my class which wasn't bad being it was my first time out. I was watching the grand am cup cars running and hung out with a bunch of pro drivers.time to get my foot in that door!

 

Man, I hope an Enzo shows up! Never seen one in person . And a Countach is on the list... nice! That was the first exotic I fell in love with. The opening seen in the Canonball Run movie did it for me when I was a kid. Loved that car ever since .

 

Oh c'mon... It was only a problem when we got lost with a bunch of Porsches on 9W and trying to make up the lost time. You were doing fine up to one-thirty...

I haven't sat in a car for at least 3 months...i'm excited almost in an unhealthy way for this return to life run....my baby better be able to handle it

p.s. i am almost out of my few months block of mayhem...pretty soon...we will be competing at the clubs and see who scores and how...lol
