    hello,

was on my honeymoon in sansalito, california last week. went to ferrari of san fransisco (mill valley) neat dealership. this is the ferrari owned dealership.

anyhoo, they have the last F512M #75/75 fly yellow w/navy, factory optional racing seats. i'll be honest. the testarossa was (and still is) my favourite ferrari. i was somewhat dissapointed with the modifications for the M. i have seen three F512M's previously in person. all three red/tan. this car looks smashing in yellow. the blue is so dark, it almost looks black. this car is beautiful in every way, something that couldn't be said prior to seeing it in yellow.

    regards,

    joseph

I know there's a Mill Valley town named Sausalito, but I've never heard of the one you were at ;)

I spent most of the 70s in San Francisco; I knew a few Ferrari collectors back then. My favorite story was Sid Colberg telling me about passing on a 250 GTO because he didn't feel an "old racecar" was worth $8500.00.

Our sportscar shop, Austin Healey West was in a building we rented from Sid; some of his "old junk" was stuck over in the corner of the bodyshop (212 Ferrari Coupe, 750 Monza and next door was another 212, a 500TRC, Maserati Birdcage and his beloved Cord).

Not that this means anything but I saw that car at that dealer in 1996 thought it was gorgeous with that dark blue interior. there was 1989 yellow 328 GTB there also I think it is the only yellow '89 GTB in the US. Anyway just thoughts. Regards, vern

It looks great in yellow. Does anyone know where I can find a picture of one in white (like the one the character Haruka Tenoh has in the japanese manga)?

    Thanks,
    Ian

I thought this car was already sold... to a ferrari board member...
i do not think any white F512m ever made it into the States.. a total of 500 were produced and just 75 were for the united states.

John, I was just looking for a picture not to buy the car.

    >>i do not think any white F512m ever made it into the States.. a total of 500 were produced and just 75 were for the united states.<<

And only 65 were for the U.K. (where I live). I am thinking of buying one though in the not too distant future. Is there a way to find out how many were done in each colour? For instance how many of the 500 were Red, how many in were in black? etc. I would love one in Yellow, black or white. I don't know what the odds are of finding one in Europe the colour I want. I am guessing they were mostly red?
