Is anyone interested in watching the last race of the season at the Pig this coming Sunday. We can all celebrate or commiserate, depending and quaff down a few brews!

I called the Pig and let them know we'll be there. They said the football crowd 'shouldn't be a problem'.

I'm assuming that the flying pig is in DFW, I'd love to come but I'm down here in Austin.

So drive up Friday night, do the fall Rally with us on Saturday, then stay over for the race on Sunday. Drive home after the race.

Sounds like a perfect weekend! :)

Sounds like a great weekend, I just need to graduate and purchase my first F-car lol. Hopefully the next time I'm visiting home during a race weekend I can attend an F-chat event. Pretty sure there will be plenty more GP's to attend in the future.

    Just two questions -

a> where is this flying Pig?
b> I thought I saw that the race was 11:30 Eastern time which would make 10:30 our time? Am I hallucinating?

    Thanks, James

    - the ZR1 has not been out of the house since Starbucks and is restless...

    Thanks, Tillman -

I guess it was either those hand-picked mushrooms that Willie Nelson dropped by, or else where I was airbrushing the Testarossa model with the garage door down...

I will switch to storebought veggies and water-based acrylic paints.

Great turnout everyone even though we also had the rebel with a 401k football crowd in attendance.

This is a very cryptic thread, especially for a newcomer. Allow me to translate:

Is anyone interested in watching the last race of the 2006 Formula 1 season at our usual haunt, the Olde Town Flying Pig in Lewisvile. We can celebrate if Ferrari wins, or cry if Ferrari loses. Regardless of the outcome, copious alcoholic beverages will be consumed. :)

My wife and I are Fernando Alonso fans and will go anywhere, anytime, to watch our driver win the F1 Championship. We like to see you Ferrari geeks squirm when Ferrari doesn't win. :)
    i won't be there. :)

This is an important race because it's the last race of Michael Schumacher's legendary career.

Many loyal Formula 1 fans were in attendance, and we had a good time, despite sharing the bar with and being outnumbered by motorcycles ridden by doctors, dentists, and accountants going through a midlife crisis. :)

Thanks again to everyone.. Will, Don and Carolyn, Nicola, David, and all others who have opened their homes or helped organize the F1 gtg's this year.

Will I be in blue next year? Most likely not. I was an FA fan from the get-go at Minardi. Next year I face a tough choice.. the Red of the Kimi fan.. or the Grey of the FA fan.. until Indy you will see me in my trademark French racing blue.. supporting HK until I pick up my new colors at the USGP..

Thanks again, Nancy and I enjoyed every moment..

    Todd
