    Hi everyone..
got a question about the 456GT rear wing.
It is supposed to come out under the car at around 120kmh
How do we know it is poped out at that speed? Are there any in cabin light that comes on when it is working after 120km h or do I have to ask a friend to follow me ? :)
    Thanks

The wing is hinged at the front and operated vertically by a motor in the trunk on the passenger side. I always wondered the same thing. Is it working? If it is not working; you will know because a warning light will appear on the dash indicating a failure. If you do have a friend follow you, it is hard to see because it is black. It kind of blends in with the rear of the car. Good luck.

The wing should lower at around 80 mph and retract again at around 60 mph.
If it does not operate a yellow light will flash on the dash.
The motor is of the same kind that operates the headlights: I had mine replaced recently for $ 300.

Yes, you know it's working because the light doesn't come on.

It's not unusual for it to operate a little slowly and the light to flash for a few seconds as you accelerate or decelerate.

I get the light on both ends for about 10-15 seconds. I thought that was how you knew that it was working.

That's the great thing about this board (and the F-car community in general, I think): there is always someone willing and able to help.

    Thanks, Don!
