thanks for the info. this should be a sticky. there are a few people in any population that will overstate their case on either side of the issue. I had little interest in this subject before this thread, but having read through it i came to the conclusion it was about 25%, not far off the 20% fna claims. i did not come to the conclusion it was higher mileage cars. most that i have seen for sale were under 35K. but, i guess it depends on what someone considers high mileage. all in all, i think it's pretty easy to cut through the bs to the truth, but it would be alot easier if info like yours was readily available.

This post has some factual info and is pretty funny too. It appears that a number of 355 guys have their undies in a bunch maybe for fear that the 348 is a better car for half the price. OK my flame suit is on let me have it!

Whatdya just tryin' to stir the pot? LOL. I owned a 348SS for 7 years and altho I liked the car... there is no way I would trade back and I would have to bet anyone else who has owned both would agree on both points(ie;liked but not going back). My 355 shifts gears and goes faster hahaha. Regards, Vern

I guess you must have been there too. Last time I checked you were not inspecting this car at FOW. How about the rust forming around the battery tray? the paint cracking and bubbling on the drivers side rocker panel, tipical of Florida cars! front bumper repainted? hmmm, anything else. Should I go on.

Sure its better......................better at going slow! LOL When the 355 was released it was 8 seconds faster around the ring than the 348. :)

Since when is it a problem to fix/refinish a chipped front bumper? As long as it is done to a factory level with factory parts, there is no harm IMO.

Of course there is no harm, the point is being honest and ethical when representing a vehicle for sale. There is no such thing as a perfect car. The only time a car is perfect is when it leaves the factory and even then they get painted after they are built.

No, I didnt inspect that car at FoW......... I inspected it the day I bought it in Sarasota last year, I inspected it again many times during the period in which I owned it, I inspected it when I installed the tubi exhaust, I inspected it when I replaced the right radiator, I inspected it when I waxed and detailed that car from one end to the other 30 times or more. Shall I go on??

So, I guess you are the perfect inspector for the perfect car! Next time I need to inspect a car I'll ask for you.

FBB, did the afore mentioned "missing" Easter Bunny happen to be sitting next to the monitor when you wrote that?
Now if there was a way to put 2 cam belts on a 348, well.... Skys the limit for cam profiles.....
The IMSA fell out of cam timing after 5 hrs run time. Getting a removable rear firewall next.

by the way, this isn't me. but damn, i wish it was. ouch. as usual, no real response. still waiting on the lie about the sniff test. seemed to shut sarti up pretty fast. i love how somebody states facts instead of bs and innuendo and some troll calls him a troll. hilarious! still needs nothing.

IMO the original seller of the vehicle in question did his due diligence. The deal is really between the buyer and seller anyway. If someone were to call out every "sales pitch" there was for an F-car, they would be pretty darn busy if not "busy bodys". Seems as though there is a vendetta out for this seller. Which I don't see as justified.

Every one knows that service centers are NOT "non-profit". A consumer has every right to question "recomendations or findings" by "any service center" weather it be Factory or Independant. God forbid, even seek a second opinion (how dare he!!!).

This is free enterprise country and it will be a very sad day when "authority" is no longer questioned. Just "slide your money under the door" and shut up...

Maybe Rafienva should not talk so much. If you do work for FOW---you may get yourself into something you shouldn't..I am sure FOW doesn't want you coming on here talking about customers cars....I called serveral dealers about cars that had been at their facility previously to get service records or info on the car when they had it---ALL dealers were very skeptical about releasing another owners car info or for a car they did not have..... HHHMMMMM maybe a few calls to FOW to point this out... I am sure they will be very happy...

Well whatever it is you are defending/arguing, your methodology is not complimenting your "case".

well, i guess it depends on what you WANT to believe. most of the people trashing the ppi and backing the ebay dump own 355's. oddly, black ones like the op. maybe they are just a little too sensitive. my "case" is not against a car, it's against behaviour.
