Anyone else gonna be there? I haven't been there since New Year's 2002/2003. Work's putting me up in the Venetian. I plan to hit up Tao. Anyone have recommendations on places to check out? :)

Walk across the street to the Ferrari shop @ the Wynn.
Also check out the cars at the Exotic Car place @ Cesar's Palace.
    After that go to O.G.

There's a Ferrari shop at the Wynn? I heard they have a topless pool area too. If both are true, they have everything a man could want! :-D

    What's OG?

Borrow someone Ferrari Keys so you can get into the Ferrai Dealership for free. I went to both car places...after you've seen all the cars we see...those places are boring, IMO.

I was just in Vegas in Sept and can't remember what I did....cept play poker for hours.

I mean this in all seriousness -

If there's ONE thing that every person on Earth should do before they die, it is to see Cirque du Soleil's "O" at Bellagio.

I am not kidding...it was simply the MOST amazing thing I've ever witnessed...ever. If you are in Vegas, you *have* to go see it! It might even change your life - it's that spectacular. I think if I won the lottery, I would just move into the Bellagio and see "O" over, and over, and over, and over, and so on.

Yeah...I guess I'm a bit obsessed, but rightfully so. SEE IT!

-"Bouchon" at The Venetian - nice French restaurant, maybe stop in for lunch.
    - "Nine Fine Irishmen" is a great Irish pub inside NY, NY that's open late.
    - "Rumjungle" is a restaurant inside Mandalay Bay by day, nightclub by night. Pretty good food, amazing rum selection.
    - "Noodles" @ Bellagio has a very cool pan-Asian thing going on, and I thought my dinner was EXcellent.

All in all man, you can't go wrong in Vegas. I just went two weekends ago for my 5th time, but it was only the 1st time I actually enjoyed it. The key is spending money. If you go on a shoestring budget, gamble & drink, but eat at Mickey D's or Chipotle, you're really doing yourself a disservice. There are some FANTASTIC restaurants in Vegas - don't be afraid of the prices, it will be worth it.

Last but not least, go see "O."

I will also be in Vegas this weekend and early next week. I am putting "O" on the agenda. Do I really need to bring my Ferrari key to get into the Ferrari store?

As far as a rental. Stay away from Dream rental cars. There cars are junk. Rent a Vette has the best inventory, I have rented their spider, and it was a great car.

If you are going to be there on October 30th, you might want to check out the Auto Accessory Show, I think it's called SEMA.

Not sure where it's at, but I understand its some show.

I enjoyed looking at the watch shops while I was at the Venetian. Pateks and Langes, galore....
The most embarassing thing was the fact that my suite (comp'd by another co) was probably bigger than my silicon valley house.
You do need a key or a copy of the registration to enter the Wynn dealership, unless you want to pay.
What else...Avoid the NASCAR cafe at the end of the stip. Skanky.

I know what you mean. I brought my Camera to Vegas for 4days and took Zero pic. Infact the camera never left the car. I'm too lazy to carry it around.

Yes, O is excellent. I have seen it a couple of times. I used to card count real heavy in Vegas and hung out at the MGM Grand. I used to go for a week or so at a time, maybe 4 or 5 times a year. MGM was nice enough to "give me" 6 digits of their money also (Thanks guys, love ya!)

Here are some other things to do... go to the top of the Stratosphere tower at night.. amazing view. It doesn't even look real. Go to the Forum shops in Caesars Palace.. great. As mentioned, check out the Ferrari dealership (it wasn't there when I used to go though). There is a dolphin show also I think, but I forget where it is. But it's cool.. worth seeing.

Umm.. if you are into guns, you can drop by the local range and fire full auto guns for $30 per clip - a lot of fun.

If you are into nude women dancing nearby you, Olympic Gardens and the Crazy Horse II are the best clubs to check out. Both are very nice and they have upscale girls. Avoid any recommendation by taxi cab drivers at all cost... you can't beat OG and CH2.

The MGM has great places to eat and some nice shops also. If you get a chance, see Carot Top while you are there at the MGM.. he's funny as hell and it is a very worth while little show.

That's all I can think of off hand... I'm sure others will chime in.

BTW, what's the deal with needing a key? Do they charge to get into the dealership or something if you aren't a Ferrari owner?

Yes. Apparently that's how they reconcile the issue of being a dealership while also being a casino attraction/profit center. Prove you're an owner and you're welcomed as if you're at any dealership; otherwise get in line and pay the fee.

Pay to see cars you see for free at Santana Row. At Exotic Car place @ Cesar's Palace you can pay $20 to take a picture in a 360 Spyder.
