    During this past Sunday we had a private event called the Fall Foliage Run for Brest Cancer that was put together by myself and the whole crew of the New York Motor Club. We started in Rye, NY and had a beautiful drive up over the Tappan Zee Bridge. The event was fully covered by many camera crews and helicopter and I maybe shouldn’t say what the footage will be used for but we got a lot of it.

    We had around over 40 cars in attendance to the brand new 2007 Lamborghini LP640, 2 Carrera GT’s, a 900+ HP Diablo Roadster, a few Ford GT’s and some great classics. We had no problems with the police in any way and didn’t have a minute of traffic. Weather was perfect and directions were put together very well so not one of us got lost. For the first part of the event I drove with gentlemen in his yellow Monterey Edition Lamborghini Diablo Roaster and Wow was this thing fast. He had NOS Tanks in the front of the car with all kinds of additional crazy modifications done to it.

    We drove up to the top of Bear Mountain which was a first for me and got to the see the beautiful foliage of the mountains. After that we drove down and ran into the BMW M5 E60 Club. I felt like half of the Northeast's Exotics were all in the same place since the FChat run was down the street. To end the day we drove back to Rye to have a good lunch with all the owners. This was the most memorable rally I had ever attended. We will do another event in the spring time.

    why on earth were there two meets for the same type of cars on the same day in the same area?

    amazing run. the best organized driving event I have ever been on. Kudos to Larry and Matt of NYMC for organizing such an outstanding event. Nothing in the past has even come close.

    It was not planned for us to do this on the same day. Bear Mountain is a hot spot for car meets and especially in the fall season

    Ahhh..So that explains it...My buddy and I were driving back home from the restaurant after the 'Fall Foliage Run' - we pass by a red Carrera GT on the side of the highway - next thing I know, I look in my rearview and see the yellow LP640 (had dealer plates on it I think) rolling up behind me - FAST! It sounded incredible! It was followed by an awesome yellow Diablo and a Charger with Bullrun stickers on it...I was wondering if there was another event happening somewhere. I was only able to tail them for a few miles before they got off the highway. Seems they like they enjoyed their event as well...

    Wow. Lots of CGTs out this weekend. That means you had a silver one and then a red one and the other run had the silver one too that had the accident. Not a bad weekend for CGTs in the tri state.

    From all of us at the NYMC, a HUGE thank you to all of you who attended our run on Sunday. I have never in my life felt so good about accomplishing a task. We drove in perfect weather, and Larry and I (with enormous effort from Evan) handpicked the perfect driving crowd. And despite the fact that neither Larry nor I slept a wink the night before and felt like total zombies after lunch, we couldn't resist going back to the shop and watching raw footage from the charger trunk cam for three hours. I have seen lots of car videos before but this stuff is some of the best footage I have ever seen (and it's all in HD). Unfortunately, we couldn't screen the chopper cam stuff because the format they shot required we use a VCR that cost more than most of the cars there. So that will come in time. Rest assured when the perfect edit happens (a month or so) we will post a few teasers here. How we'll top this one, I don't know, but considering it was our first try, I think it's possible. Thanks again.

    Thanks for your kind words as you are the #1 rally organizer. I know what it takes and the time you must put in so props to you for this. I went on the first event you produced and had a ball. I was driving a red charger SRT8 with 425 HP with bullrun stickers still on it.

    So 2 Heli's? We have 3! lol
