I cannot tell you how excited I am about Kimi driving for Ferrari !!! :)
This is going to be SO cool. Now I can't wait to sign up for Ferrari's "track day" where you can have a tour of the factory, see the F1 cars driving on the test track, and meet the drivers. To actually meet Kimi in person is definitely going to be my F1 highlight.
Now I can finally call myself a true "Tifosi"!
Any other Kimi fans out there?

I agree. I have been a fan since he joined Mclaren, and while I am sad to see him leave (Mclaren is my first team) I can understand his need to move on. Hes been there a while and the machinary simply has not been able to match his driving talent. Luckily I am a huge Ferrari fan as well, I couldnt see him going anywhere else.

I trust you will see a different personality in 2007, espeically if KR begins to win races consistently. Much of KR's image this last few years has been caused by his depression at McLaren.

I feel the same way. I also think we are going to see a tough battle between Kimi and Massa next year, I wouldn't be supprised if Massa humbles Kimi in the first few races and shows us all the extent of his tallent. This being said, Kimi doesn't shy away from anyone and he'll be a force so long as the red car stays strong and he doesn't break it. I can't wait to watch Alonso get in the 'silver breakdown bullet'. If McLaren win in 2007 I'm going to go insane!

Ohhhhh yeah i'm pumped!!!!!!! Been with McLaren since the TAG days, and when Kimi came along i thought geez, my fave driver with the team i've supported for so long is a dream. But i, like Kimi became very annoyed from about the MP4-19 onwards...... it's been a POS.

Too see Kimi as a part of the Tifosi now means i can live in harmony with my best mate as we used to argue bitterly over the McLaren/Ferrari thing........ only he seem to be leaning to support the little brazilian guy **shrugs shoulders**

2007 will be the litmus test for Kimi, and i'm sure we'll se a new side to him!

Speaking of which, he must be getting coached of late. I listened very carefully to his comments he made on his last podium appearance, and he intentionally paused between sentences. Doesn't really matter to me whether he pauses or not; the information given in those comments are typically twice as informative as any other driver up there, at least from a racing point of view.

The sycophants are lining <delete> for 2007.

If Alonso has signed instead of Kimi, all of you would be raving about Fernando, how you have been huge fans since his days at Minardi.

It would be interesting to pore over all of your posts about Kimi way back when, before he signed for Ferrari...

    Depends on who you ask...

Some would say I am on here far too much :D

For the record, I share your excitement about Kimi joining Ferrari, but then again I was a Kimi fan long before he was even being mentioned for a Ferrari seat.

Folks, please no foul language. I don't care whether you're a MS, Kimi, FA or whatever fan. No sexual language pls (it's bad enough it slipped through in another thread).

Bro, the moderators could blackmail me SO EASY, if my boss ever had potential access to documentation on how much time I spend on this site each day? (ha ha!)

Me too. I hear what you're saying though. Lots of people love to jump on the bandwagon of the latest greatest thing. My enthusiasm started when I read that article in F1 Racing entitled, "That's my boy!" when Mr. Sauber spoke about pleading with the FIA for an exception to grant Kimi a superlicense. I do have to admit though that my enthusiasm for him got kicked up a notch when I found out that he was signed to McLaren, as I had been a big Mika fan before that.

Well it is nice to see Kimi supporting his Sponsor, Johnnie Walker.

Kinda reminds me of Little Al, he used to support Domino's Pizza when they sponsored him by eating too much of it, Coors by drinking too much of it, and Marlboro by smoking too much of it....

In 2001 I was a fan of Kimi, then when he went to McLaren I stopped cheering for him..In 2003 he was getting in my nerves...1 win, 10 millions 2nd places...and the championship went down to the wire. (thanks to new stupid point system) But since 2004 I'v been supporting him. Now he's my favorite driver.

That was my little story. :)

Senna got me interested in the sport. MS made me stick with it. Though Kimi has not been my favorite driver, or most exciting interview, He will get my full support. (Like that means anything!) He has seemed to loosen up a bit in the last few weeks and I can almost understand him now. His sence of humor seems to be coming to life too.

I'm looking forward to next season even though I am going to be a little sad. Figure that MS won 6 or 7 races a year. Thats a lot of points up for grabs next season. I would love to see Ferrari win another CC and Kimi of Massa win a DC, but it will be interesting to see how things pan out. Kubica <sp?> is going to be a driver worth watching. There is something about that guy that I like. Not sure what it is, but there is something.

So Kimi, Lets get it done! I look forward to seeing you take Ferrari to the top once again!
