I was on a 348 yesterday, i was impressed by the huge noise coming from the windows due to the air flow, already at 120 km/h. iIould hear even some whistles. There was no air infiltration from the closed windows, but lot of noise; a fiat panda is much more silent! Is it characteristic of the car, due to the stripes, the mirrors, etc, or the one I tried is particularly strange?

Old/hardened door seals combined with badly adjusted window glass causes more wind noise. These cars have frameless windows which are not easy to adjust correctly.

They are never totally free of wind noise - remember this is an Italian car designed in the mid 80's.

I have a 355 that shows a small gap between the glass and the rubber seal at the top right corner ( when looking at it from the outside)on the drivers door. Is the window adjustable to close this slight gap and if so how is it done? Thanks

I'm guessing a 355 is the same as a 348. There are two adjustments that can be done here - for either you have to remove the air intake from the bottom of the door for access. Sorry no pics.

    1. For both the left and right side if the glass there is an adjustable 'top stop' (a rubber pad on 6mm thread with a 10mm locknut). Look up with a torch and you will find it.

    2. The position the glass is clamped into the frame. You will see this with the window down at the bottom right hand corner. This is what I had to adjust on mine to get the glass right.

    NOTES:

Remember to mark the positions of everything before you loosen clamps etc. - you might want it back as it was.

Don't just slam to door after making an adjustment, just in case you have over done it.
