Ignore Moretti, since he transmogrified into Moderetti he has suffered serious memory loss and brain failure. (Not that there was much left to fail )

He has conveniently forgotten that the blue OHOS he referred to -
1. Whupped his ass at Symmons Plains
2. Whupped his ass at the Motorkhana and
3. Whupped his ass at the Concours

All this happened last month at the Ferrari Club Rally in Tasmania.

Mind you, he regularly gets his ass whipped by another blue OHOS in QLD

Funnily enough his memory is OK when it comes to money - belt change about $750 + $200 parts. Full service - tune, all fluids, spanner check etc about $600.

Importantly, the best advice on offer is get a good, well maintained car rather than a "garage queen" or deferred maintenance nightmare. Then find a reliable mechanic. Depending on where you are (profile!) this is not difficult.

The engines are bullet proof, if the sodium exhaust valves have been removed. The rest of the car is very solid and will give you years of motoring pleasure.

The most sought after models are Fibreglass Carb cars and QV's. The 2 valve injected cars are less desirable.

A 308 is a joy to behold and a treat to drive.

I'm far too hard on 308's. I'd never find one good enough to recommend. Which just goes to show that if you see the best example at a relatively high price (relative to the crap around) then you should buy it.
