Sound the alert... there's a 348 hater in the house!! http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=126522 (scroll down and read) Unite brothers, unite!
Well thats all well and good and I am very sorry for his experience. Its why I have had a few arguments here recently but why stay here? Go to an NSX place or something.
Brothers, as we roar through with out Ferraris... ignore the meows we hear of the NSXs! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't think it was the repair receipts that left the bad taste. It's all the San Francisco NSX club members that did.
My thoughts exactly, his profile shows nothing about even owning a car in the first place. My feeling? Let people bash the 348, especially if they don't own one. I'll admit, I wasn't particularly the biggest fan before I drove mine. Once I took my first spin? I was HOOKED!!! The funniest thing is, tastes and preference are up to the individual. Buy your car own car based on your own budget, your own tastes, and own goals. Sure, we'd probably all want to get our hands on an Enzo or a 250 GT California, or an F40, a GTO, maybe a 288 GTO, F50, FXX. But guess what, I most likely will not. Maybe some of you will, and God bless you for it. But for goodness sake, don't let anyone's ignorant comments make you feel any different about your car. If you like it, it works for you, that's all that matters. So, my brothers (and sisters - I'm not sure if there are any out there, I think so), walk proudly out to your garage. Hop in your beloved 348's, start 'em up and take them out for a spirited drive. I ask you to remember the next time you're out for a spin that you are privy to one of the great secrets out there. The 348 is one damned nice car! Pure to the legacy...no power steering, high clutch effort, a real challenge to drive for the faint of heart. My wife has driven my car and she says it was so difficult to do that she will never do it again. So, raise your keys proudly, I salute you! Mike
He sounds like a weak sister to me - I've had way bigger bills than that. LA-LV-LA round trip just a few days ago - filthy but happy 348 spider. Kelso, CA. Cheers Kev Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have similar sentiments. I always wanted a 308, and was willing to "settle" (but spend more) on a 328. I didn't think I was a fan of the 348, until I saw them in the showroom alongside a bunch of 328's & Testarossa's. With direct comparison I decided the 348 had the best proportions & body style of anything else. It's a work of art. The Testarossa was radical for it's day, but once the novelty wore off the oddball proportions became more obvioius. IMHO the 348 perfected the styling that the TR started. And when my wife parallel parks, she grins from ear to ear as she gives her arms a workout. And she has no problem putting it through the gears, although her current comfort level is only 200kph. Keep driving boys, and girls.
Pap, Are you referring to your car with that question? After all, you are down "under"! If it's for the car, it looks fantastic! Is it my imagination or is the steering wheel on the wrong side?
I thought about it for a second there when I was inline to pay for the premium........ jeez nearly $1.50/Litre for petrol, Even an oil Sheik would of have robbed them too
