    Thanks for the post. As an owner of a 360CS in North America who's not interested in a 430 but would be interested in a 430CS, here's my reaction;

    1) Its difficult to distinguish the car in the photo from a 430 coupe as pointed out by others. To say its awesome, cool, etc., suggests its being viewed by a first time ferrari affectionado! Personally, and like some others, I prefer the lines of the 360CS, so I do hope that a 430CS adds some more bells and whistles to grab me visually, and at least please come up with some original wheels and maybe a pumpkin colored stripe;

    2) Don't want a half-baked 430 CS -- in terms of weight reduction -- should it make it to the NA market. And if it does come half-baked, don't want to be tormented by all the reviews of a 430CS euro model that performs so much better than the NA cousin. With greater weight loss in euro versions with carbon fibre racing seats vs., leather products in NA versions in view of the airbag issues, this is likely to be a notable issue.

    3) Don't relish forking out a whole lot of $$ for a hyped 430 CS on the tail of a NA market with hugely inflated 430 coupe and spider prices, unless I'm getting a true street/track advantage in the 430CS. In other words, 20 more HP alone isn't enough to turn my crank on a heavier 430 that's still likely to see the tail lights of a 997TT (especially if it gets the Ruf treatment).

    Will 360CS prices take a hit with a fully lightened and more powerful 430CS in countries outside NA; probably yes. Will the same apply to 360CSs in NA if a psuedo-430CS that's heavier, conforming to US standards, and vastly overpriced arrives on the market? Don't hold your breath.

    Having voiced my views, I now take my seat in the peanut gallery to observe what happens.

    The pics are encouraging in terms of a 430CS. All the rest of the comments here are pure speculation. One thing is for sure F will go out with a bang with a 430CS version.

    That might actually be the point. Seeing as how they are testing with a microphone, this could be an engine only test mule...so the more it looks like a normal 430 the better I suppose.

    A 430CS with a premium will be almost $300k. The CS is $200k (or less). BIG difference in price. Worth it? Will a $300k car make a $200k car depreciate? Unlikely IMO.

    +1, I don't think it will ever show up here anyway, just as 410SA wrote.

    I agree but just as we see with the difference in spread of an 04 360 spider and a 430 spider there are enough people that beg to differ. There are enough people and speculators that will be happy to pay the premium.

    seeing that im one of the ones that used "awesome" or something along those lines, and I wouldnt consider myself a first time ferrari aficionado, my main excitement caused was by the rear end (the new exhasust position, the rear challenge grill (even though we have seen it on other 430's as an option) and the rivets on the rear windshield. And the fact that this provides hope for a 430 CS.

    Although that "possible" 430 CS looks great, I still think they would do enough body mods to distinguish it from a 430 Coupe. Lets wait and see...

    I kinda think that it might be a F430 package option ala 575 "Fiorano" handling package. A lot of what changed from 360 to 360CS is in F430 or available as an option. Ferrari has also made different "special edition" for end of the previous v8 cars...348 Speciale, F355 Series Fiorano, 360 Challenge Stradale, F430 xxx and each was a different "special" changes/addition. Who knows.

    I did get tired of other F430 CS speculation with pics of a F430 Challenge car running around on the street, these pics make a more promising/fun speculation.

    Exactly. Other than the mid body mounted exhaust (like the race versions) what else really distinguishes it from the regular 430 (exterior wise)? The car looks like a 430 from every angle except the rear.

    Exaust pipes looks like a joke imo. Lacation is coll but they need the size of a Challenge car to look good.

    If this CS is coming, does this mean the 430 run is almost over?

    Well I just sold my 360 CS and bought a brand new 430 Spider from my dealer in anticipation and hopes that we will get a 430CS or like car? In doing so, I hope to be in a position to buy one if the are produced?

    Because this exhaust is coming directly out of where the rear bumper beam should be.

    As for the 599 seats, they are power seats, I don't think there is a manual version. I suppose they could use them, but then again that would be pretty contrary to the idea of a 'Challenge Stradale.'

    agreed...

    1] i still find 430's hideous compared to strads. they'll succeed in differentiating it tho'
    2] the CS today suffers from this enough being much slower than the euro. chalstrad tells me usa version pales vs euro
    3] no one buys strads becuase they're fast. GT3 shreds strad for 1/2 the $.

    The photos look promising.
    At least the deposit I made, looks like it might be worth while.

    I really hope they do go crazy on the Performance to beat the new GT3 RS

    Thats not what i have witnessed . From my experience, they are pretty even on the track ( GT3 and Strads ), at leat Euro strads.
