4 years ago (yesterday), the first event I attended in my new-to-me, bought-that-afternoon 328. 41437 miles later, it's still the best snap decision I've made Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just out of curiosity, who's driven this thing since I had it? Dave Manny Aaron Colin (y'all don't know him) Jayson Todd, I think I know I'm missing some.
It wasn't the first Ferrari I ever drove, but it is the first time I ever drove one over 15 mph. And definitely the first time I ever had an owner tell me to get on it. Your car is a close 2nd place for my total Ferrari left seat time, sorted by car. I don't care what Jimpo says about you T, you're a king among men.
How soon they forget... Best one-liner I used while I was driving- "Whats that for?" she asked, pointing to the fire extinguisher between her thighs. "Cuz your so smokin hot." That line actually worked. (The Ferrari had nothing to do with it.)
First Ferrari I ever drove... Seeing it in my garage was the last drop of insanity that spilled my brain... I had to get me a Ferrari, NOW! Best insane decision I've ever made Thanks T! Image Unavailable, Please Login
So, what's the complete list, in order. [edit] oops, never mind, just found this http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=126726 [/edit] And how the hell are all you Texas folks. Dave, Manny?? you guys been for a fire breathing cruise lately? Dave M.
If you spent more time in the good ol' TX section, you'd already have the list. Look at the thread below this one. Things are good! Manny and I went for a spin Wednesday night. Just like the good old days.
Beat ya to it. I dunno, I barely have time to wander through Vintage and the MAR section. I was scanning new posts, and saw Tillman's thread, thought I'd take a peek. DM
Tillman, Although I haven't had the pleasure of driving your beauty, I did get to sit in it. The first Ferrari I had ever sat in. Nigh on two years ago, now...if I remember correctly. Amazing. Thank you!!!
I'll jump on the Tillman bandwagon. He is a true asset to the Ferrari community, and helps bring more into the fold with each drive he takes, each show he attends (with his handwritten note on the windshield), and each chance he has to share his pride in the marquee. As Dave wrote in his thread.. "Grigio 328 GTS - First Ferrari driven on the streets!" Yes Tillman, I had the pleasure of you offering me the keys at one of the gtg's at Nicola's house.. And the passenger seat to my wife Nancy. 5 minutes flew by like 5 seconds.. When it was done, it was what I imagine what crack cocaine might be like.. I knew I had felt euphoria, but the distinct memory of the drive was fuzzy.. a result of the sensory overload.. And ever since then, I have needed another dose. So Tillman, when you fall and strike your head again and decide to offer up your keys, I'd love another drive where I can be prepared to soak it in, as opposed to a pair of keys landing in my hand without me having the time to fully realize what I was about to put into my pipe and smoke.. Thanks again... I only hope when my chance at ownership arrives, I can be half the enthusiast Tillman is. Todd
One of my favorite Tillman at speed pics, I was riding with Jimpo1 & wasn't even sure if this one would even come out. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was there the night T showed up at Carsons with his car. He had a huge grin on his face and was visibly excited. Congrats on 4 years T-man.
Tillman, you gave me a ride in it one day when we were over at Humperdinks by the old Norwoods. I will have had my 308 for four years in November. Looking forward to getting my title in the mail soon! It's been a pretty fun four years, huh!?!
I was still there the first night at Carsons! I passed 12 years of ownership in August. It didn't even cross my mind.
