I am extremely lucky to have been around so many Ferraris and Ferrari people, without being in a position to pull the trigger on one yet myself. (Soon!)

Ferraris I've Driven - Each drive was very special, not just for the reasons listed:

    Red/Tan 360 6 speed - First Ferrari driven**
    Azzuro California/Tan 6 speed - 1st 12cyl driven**
    Purple/Black 355F1 Spider - First F1 driven**
    Red/Tan F512M - First TR driven**
Grigio 328 GTS - First Ferrari driven on the streets!
    Red/Tan Testarossa #1 - First car I ever hit 120 MPH in!
SIlver/Tan 330 - First Vintage Ferrari Ever Driven!
Red/Tan Dino - First Dino Driven!
Red/Tan Mondial - First Ferrari I ever got a speeding ticket in!
Red/Tan Testarossa #2- Most Nervous I've Ever Been behind the wheel of a Ferrari!, parking it in a wet grassy field within very close proximity of other Ferraris.

**doesn't really count, I valet parked it when I worked at a hotel.

(If I left one out, I blame it on brain fade at the end of a long day.)

I've ridden in so many more, and all those rides were equally thrilling. Well, almost equally thrilling. The 355 Challenge car ride out at MSR might have been slightly more thrilling than the others. :D

To all of you, Thanks a million. :)

    Texas!
    Punk.

Whatever happened to the days (sniff) when a man had to earn the right to even look at at Ferrari, much less drive one.

What's next? Are they going to allow even Democrats to own a Ferrari?

(Shaking head, while puffing on a cuban cigar and settling back into a club chair.)

In my day, we knew how to keep the little people in their place. :)

I’ve got to hand it to Tillman, he’s a class act all the way. A couple of years ago at the Italian Car Fest in Grapevine, he had placed a sign on his 328 saying “Please Touch”, basically opening the car up to anyone that wanted to sit in it, learn about it, & even get their picture taken sitting in a Ferrari. He made a lot of people happy that day, from kids to adults alike. That really was nice for him to do thoughtful thing such as like that.

I remember that. Fun car. Cool guy. This sort of thing makes the whole sport more inviting.

BUT, didn't Tillman also throw out the idea of putting a trailer hitch on the back of the 328 ? !!! Get out the tar and feathers!!! lol

Tillman does for others what I always wished that owners would have done when I was a teenage pup; share their car in some form or another (a sit in, a ride, etc...). I tried to do the same for anybody I met when I had my 308. The ear-to-ear grins are what made it for me. I vow to continue this tradition when I get my next F-car.....I still remember the night a guy at a gas station begged me to take his girlfriend for a ride (how unselfish that HE did not ask for a ride...but I planned on offering him one next...she was cute though). We got one light away and the clutch SEIZED UP. She had to use my cell phone to call the boyfriend to come get her & I had to call for a tow.....HOW embarrassing! Oh well......

Kudos to TILLMAN! I always knew that somewhere inside that harsh exterior was a kind and generous human!
