I was just curious what you guys think is the best Ferrari driving experience. Which car, where, and how to drive it? Personally I think its the 360 CS around the Nordschleife. No need to explain why. I have a feeling an F430 Spider with the top down cruising along a beach, the V-8 singing behind you, is also up there. Or maybe a Superamerica through a tunnel, wringing an Enzo around a track, sideays in a 288 GTO, blasting through the gears in an F50 down a tight, narrow, spiraling, twisty backroad...Anyone have an opinion?

Are we talking fantasy? Mine is reality: 62 250 GTO 3387 around Roebling Road an 8-turn road course. I wasn't in the driver's seat but it was almost as sweet. I had a SEG on my face for days.

Yep, Ron is a hell of a shoe, too! It's nice when competent drivers demonstrate these cars...

You are right about him. Winning is everything & talent is all that. Ron can mix it up w/ the best & has at Daytona 24 hrs, etc. He is equally as good in the operating room. He & his wife have been friends of mine for years. I used to "baby sit" his GTO when the family went on vacation.

Where do you know him from? He & I were gym partners for several years. After his GTO was stolen, he wanted someone to stay at the house when the family went on vacation. I fed the exotic birds & pined over the Ferrari & AC 289 Cobra in the garage. He sold the GTO for about ~4 million a few years ago.
Ron has a competitive drive to crush the enemy as well as the talent to do it. If you could only see him operate. Smooth as glass, totally efficient w/ no wasted motion. He is a master.

I've raced with Ron in SCCA and in vintage and historic racing for nearly two decades, plus from the Ferrari Club of America events. He's a great shoe and a great guy. That was something about the GTO being stolen... Glad they found it right away!
