Can anybody advise if it possible to retrofit a 1998 550 with the Fiorano suspension package?
    Thanks

This has been thoroughly discussed, you can do a search for full thread, but basically, the answer is yes. Dan at ricambi can hook you up with the full FHP package including springs, swaybar, steering and suspension ECU's. Skip the brake pads, they squeal like a pig... I'm currently doing FHP on my 550, and opted for the springs from Phil Hughes (ferrarifixer), they are supposed to be a little stiffer and more progressive, and about 1/2 the price!

I can vouch for Phil's springs, I found them to be an excellent improvement on the stock items, less roll and better damping under load but still supple. Also importantly for me, much better stability at very high speeds.

I'm sure prices vary, but is there a ballpark price for this retrofit package?

2100 AUd (1600US) for Phils springs, 4450 for the FHP kit from Ricambi, 2 ECU's are about 800 each 500 for the sway bar.

my mistake, Phil was 2100 AUD for x pipe and springs. springs alone were 1000 AUD.

I hadn't even spotted this thread until now...

Thanks guys, for the great feedback and comments on my stuff...

and just to set the record straight... those prices include packing and anywhere worldwide with 3 day airfreight shipping...

    BUT...

I'm not a sponsor on this site (although I may be one day) and my operation is very small, through choice. I'll happily provide things for people if they ask but I urge you to use site sponsors wherever possible. (and perhaps those that have commented could confirm with Rob Lay that I haven't approached any one)

I'm happy with my many hours and thousands of posts of voluntary consultancy contributions, but this site is not my core business.

I approached a site sponsor some time ago asking if they'd be interested in having any of my products, but as yet, nothing has come of it.

For the record, I chased Phil down, he doesn't solicit...
