Gentlemen, which would be the most reliable (mechanically) among the following F-Cars? 348, 355, 360? Any input would help making future upgrade decisions.
I would say that it all depends mate. But the 348 has less electrics in it, so the electrics side of it, im going with the 348. But.....they are getting some age about them now, so the gremlins may start coming out. Its hard to say which is more reliable, because you may buy a 355 or 360 and have endless issues with them. Same goes for any car. My good friend bought a new Ford XR8 in 2004. Another mate bought the same model, 1 month later. The 1st XR8 had SO MANY electrical dramas!! It was not funny. The other XR8 is still perfect. The 1st XR8 was replaced for him with a new car, because for 8 months, they could not get it right. The new car he has is still going great. You will get some cars that are sweet, then you get some that are complete money pits. I think ernie has had alot of issues with his 348. Yet, there are alot of 348 owners here that have not has problems. But I reckon the 348 would be most reliable out of the 3 IMO.
All things being equal I think the 360 would be the most reliable and the least expensive to maintain.
Hahahaa, this is a joke right? Oh your a funny guy..........what Ferrari is most "reliable"...... good one dude, good one.
I've never used those two words in the same sentance.... ) but I can post some statistics in the past few weeks if you're interested.
Reliable Ferrari .....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ,thats funny , comedy must be your forte .......because reliability is not Ferrari's .....they look great & run great when they run , but thats about it , ferrari makes cars that that go 200mph , but the windows labor going up & down , interior parts are substandard , they are higher maintanance than J-Lo , go figure
There are a lot of people here that will say their Ferrari is the most reliable car they own. Don't be so quick to dismiss them simply because of the name. Go check out the new F430- a design that I hate but its so well put together I have to mention it. I just cant see it breaking. The 360 and 355's have bomb proof motors. Remember the question was of RELIABILITY not fit and finish.
My 355 and Mondial t have been flawless. The only time I have ever been stranded is a blown tire on the 355. That can of stuff is useless when the sidewall is missing As so many people will say, the key to Ferrari reliability is constant use. If you let them sit, they'll start to get gremlins at a much lower mileage than the high use ones. Of course, the extra strain of tracking a car takes its toll, but a daily driver tends to be very reliable, regardless of model.
I'd say a manual 360 would be most reliable, as it's new. Not sure I'd say the same in 10 years time though. Second I'd place the 348, and last the 355 (due to valve guide issues and complex electrical gizmos).
