what? not a problem for what? not a problem for everyone else, maybe....and stiffer springs would only make it flex more. can't see much point in stiffer springs in a boxer.

I.G. organised a very successful early V12 rally last February, halfway between Melb and Syd that got a good turnout. 10 Daytonas, 2 275's, Lusso, etc. Now that he's sold his car (and it was a peach) I doubt if he'll have the same motivation in 2007.

I'd like to agitate to do something similar in Feb/March 07, maybe in the Snowy mountains or on the Bega coast. 12 cyl cars including BB's. What do you think?

I don't think you'd ever overcome the flex, when you look at a stripped BB, the chassis looks like a stretched and widened 308, the main rails are not any thicker and I would guess that the engine gives relatively more stiffness to the rear.

I suspect that early Ferraris were softly sprung to help conceal the flex rather than to give a comfortable ride, relying on the stiff XWX sidewalls for cornering grip. But they weren't alone, MB SL's all had huge scuttle shake, right up to the 80's.
