and one for the 944Turbo fans... http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1279533401
Very cool clip on the 928 I actually had an opportunity to drive a 928 S this year, though it wasn't an S4, I was very impressed by that car overall. The automatic trans snapped into each gear, like the feel of a B&M shift kit on a classic Chevy. Power was respectable and the feel was very balanced around corners. The only drawback was the fragrant scent of scorched oil...the owner of the car explained that it was somewhat "normal" for aged 928's.(???) Even today, that car is an incredible performer for the money.
Great vid, although it makes me sad watching that, I had one of the rare 928 Clubsports (only 74 made) and I crashed it, I really miss its performance
I think the video of the 928 shows two different cars...If you watch when he rolls out, the car does not have outside rearview mirrors, but when he pulls back into the garage, the car has mirrors. Throughout the video, at different times, the car suspiciously has, and then does not have mirrors. Either two different cars, or edited rather strangely!!!
Thanks for that, I have had three of them over the years, last one was a GTS manual, sorry I sold it, one of the best cars ever to come from Porsche
Same car - weird editing (replacing side mirrors & windshield wipers after run). The Holbert car is currently owned by Mark Kibort who posts about it quite a bit at rennlist.com
Mark's modus operandi is: drive Holbert car to track, change wheels/tires, race cars 2x-4x more expensive, whup-a$$, change back to street tires, drive home. Pretty cool!
