Yes Jon, with the very rare models making money is definitely possible. Models such as those made by Suber, Brauer are made in numbers no more than 10, and with very intricate detail. Cost is around USD4,000 a piece nowadays, but once the edition is sold out, if you found the right buyer would fetch a higher price. I had a Brauer that I bought from Mike for USD3,500 and was offered USD4,200 less than a week later by a buyer in Australia. With regards to the Speedster I have decided to go with my friends car- much less mileage, fewer owners (of which I have known all of them) and always been serviced by Stuttgart. This car will be a keeper, and I want it as original as possible. Now need a bit of patience as he is in the process of acquiring another car and I need my bonus in first to ease the financial burden...
Yes my friend, the Speedster is as rare as your 355 in Singapore and really depreciation proof. Worldwide, as Jon had pointed out the speedster is a very rare car indeed, and I just love that '80s Wall Street bling look! I'm on leave this week and kicking the dirt. Free to meet up anytime (for a change)!
yes its in pretty good shape.... but think i gonna give it more TLC to make it even " shapelier ". actually yellow on a spider is also very nice. i did think of changing my red to that as well but din feel too comfortable abt respraying. in the end stuck to red and also loving it... guess its just the thingy abt how the grass is always " redder" or "yellower" in this case... haha.
Since you don't mind yellow and I love red, and mine has the stock exhaust which you're looking for as well, maybe we should trade cars - ha ha!
Hey boys, look what I just found! A full carbon fibre full-face helmet from Korea. 1350g. S$460 & few left, it'll be SISIR approved & cost more for next shipment. Very light & very cheap IMHO. They have a scrambler style & some with nice artworks for $100 more. Feels a lot lighter than my Nolan. Heard the salesman said someone crashed on a track with this in Korea & the helmet didn't crack. If it's well made, it should be stronger than standard fibreglass right? Limited sizes though, I have a small head & wears XL. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I dun think its wise to have a full carbon helmet....on impact, the word "shattering" comes to mind lei....but then again one might look more manly after that cause got more scars lei heheheh some chicks dig that
Talk to me lei...I am single and attractive also mah...fiber optic and LED totally different hor...U want fibre optic in Singapore got...ask Mr. Fong lei, he always go Adelphi...I think Elpa does install for those...but be prepared to shell out some mullah lar.... Then hor..if dun wan hor, just use convential lighting lar...since u got room right? Carpet it, put in some velvet drapes to offer some static attraction to dust and you dun have to use glass for the disply liao lor... like that better mah...HOR
I have to agree that there is a reason why there are no carbon helmets around. carbon shatters on impact and there are shards. .
when I was young , ignorant and broke (like in primary school) , I used to scrimp and save to buy Beano (cause it usually came with some toffee candy/liquorice , etc , which came with the magazine all the way from white man land). how many of the fellas here stuggled when young ? we never had it easy , for sure. cheers. .
Dear Pistole, I was still broke in University - student loans - lucky those days, NUS was not expensive or else can't go to school I can understand how you feel. However, pistole, I never begrudge the rich and young of today - its the upbringing that's important - some rich kids of today are very well adjusted if properly brought up - one of my friends makes her kids choose only one gift and give the rest to orphange and shelters - after a while, the kids understand and do it themselves without prompting .. Anyway, I never felt poor although I was and it did give me a good grounding in life to start from and now can also look back with some satisfaction ...
becos of my constant changing of cars... i was always broke, am still broke and probably will remain broke.... ;- )
Unifiber is really stressing me out...up down up down....sianzzz no fun one...dun wan to play liao....time to offload to hmmm let me think
Oh darn, don't think I want to test it myself. It's triple layered & has another shell in there. Like the weight but it's not sitting comfortably.
If it didnt crack on impact, one must wonder where all the Gs go. Helmets are designed to crack on certain impact. Its not the shell that has to crack, but the foam on the inside which is designed to protect the rest of what lies within... But for some here, there is nothing inside to protect...
