I think the parking is fine to take a Ferrari as a spectator to both the track days and the concourse. I had no problems last year and expect the same this year. I would bet the parking is about 1/3 Ferraris for the spectators. the only thing last year for me was at the Breakers where some yahoo decided to rest their elbow on the fender for a photo and made a small ding. It was visible as it happened on one of the pictures posted from the event on this web site. It is only noticeable from a specific angle, but was really poor form for the spectator. It will be fixed the next time the paintless ding guy comes to my house.

Cavallino is probably the largest annual Ferrari gathering in the world. It will be at the end of January, 2007. Parking is very safe at Moroso for spectators, and there is a large Ferrari only parking area for spectators at the Breakers for the concours.

It is well worth the price of admission. And then some.

This will be my first trip to Cavallino with my F355. Is the Breakers the best place to stay? Any other recommendations for places to go, things to do while in W Palm?

    Thanks...

I think the Breakers will definately be a fun place to stay. There will be a ton of spirit in the air. If you want a boutique/smaller hotel, check out the Brazilian Court or the Colony.

Does anybody know anything about this "boat hopping?"

Thursday, January 25 and Friday January 26th:
Track days at Moroso. I think admission was $15/day. Some incredible cars will show up. Last year one guy showed up with a new FXX, Sunoco 512M, 333SP, 250GTO, Pontoon Testa Rossa, F430 Challenge. Both days are great, more vendors on Friday.

    Saturday, January 27:
Cavallino Classic, Concours D'Elegance at the Breakers, a judged event, in its 16th year. Last year it was a bargain $45 to get in. This is the greatest gathering of important Ferraris in the world. Then there is the spectator's parking lot as non-concours Ferrari owners have a special place to park at the Breakers.

If you make it one major world class event, make it Cavallino. If you can only go one day, make it Saturday. Even Pierro Ferrari attends.

Great, now they put it on the same weekend as the Daytona 24Hours. This year featuring several Ferrari Teams from what I know.
I have no idea why they would have moved that up one week. Makes no sense.

The Breakers is beautiful and, while not inexpensive, is worth it. If you want covered parking, the only place on the island with a garage is the Heart of Palm Beach (everywhere else is surface parking lots), although some of the hotels over in W. Palm (on the mainland, as opposed to actually in Palm Beach) have garages if you don't mind making the drive over onto the island.

If you are staying at the Breakers make your reservations NOW. I found out this weekend that the block of rooms are going fast.
