I would usually post this in f-ads, but I figured I'd put it up here since I spend a majority of my time in this sub-forum.

Just spoke with my Audi dealer yesterday and my new S8 is on the boat making its way stateside.

As much as it pains me to think about it, I will have to sell my 2001 A6 4.2 (silver/tungsten) to make room for it. I really am torn about letting it go...even for the S8.

With that said, it's a TRULY mint car with 46k miles, brand new tires, sport package, all the right mods (Eibach/Koni, TCU program, 02 rear fogs, M5 spoiler, fully integrated K40 w/laser def, 3M 35% tint, H&R 15mm spacers, etc) and all service records. The oil has been changed every 3k miles and she is fully sorted not to mention under Audi CPO until Sept. of 2007 or 100k miles.

    Price is $23,750.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested. I welcome a PPI and will be happy to discuss anything relating to the car or otherwise. Most of you know me and also know how I keep my cars...this one is no exception.

    Thanks!

S8 is a sick animal. Anything with a detuned Gallardo engine has to be. - :)

Knowing how you keep your cars, I have no doubt the 4.2 is immaculate.

Congrats, and good luck with the sale.

Absolutely...I ordered her in Daytona Grey Pearl w/Black/Espresso interior and black alacantra headliner. All options for the most part except B&O sound since I plan to send it to Technik1 for monitors in the headrests and couldn't justify the $6300 additional on a "stock" system (I know it's good, but the Bose system is pretty darn good as well).

Def good call on skipping the B&O system. I thought that system was mostly show anyway as is most of their product line. There are way better products out there. Great choice on the color combo. Enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the plug KH & Richard!

She's already generating some good interest and I have no doubt that whomever I pass her along to will love the car as much as I do.

Yeah...you would have been pimpin' up in Albany with the 4.2!

Quattro with 300+HP comes in very handy in the snowy north country. :)

I'm seriously thinking about it. Its the same price as fixing the TR.

New Audi or fix the TR, Audi or fix the TR, Audi or fix the TR...

You JUST majored the TR. Is that what you now need to further spend to fix it?!?!

When will this bad luck end?!

    {Apologies for going off topic, but I'm feeling really bad for Noto!?}

I love the TR bro...but you know I'd love to pass my girl onto a friend as opposed to a stranger. That way I get to visit!

You also have the 355...not a bad garage there my friend. :)

Eric, what kind of gas does the car take? What MPG does it get?

let's do some math (generalizations taken for the type of corn, rows of kernels, water content, type of corn, ears/stalk, yield & other factors)

    1 bushel = 2.7 gallons of ethanol
    7280 kernels/bushel
    700 kernels/ear of corn
1 ear of corn per stalk
    128 ounces/gallon

    so 1 stalk = 1 ear = 700 kernels = 1/10th a bushel = 35 ounces of ethanol

Now to figure out MPG, we need to now how big a zillion is. Wikipedia says it's imaginary, so I'll assume Eric, being of sound moral stature, used a zillion to be larger than a googolplex which is 10^10^100 so let's stay concervative and use a googolplex.
    so a googolplex * 3.7 is the miles/gal. figure.

So if your into Hitchhiking around the galaxy a few times, this is the car for you as it's most efficient.
